patriot Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Just happened to see some of his batting footage through an old collection I got hold off - Seems atleast as good or better BEAST than Yuvi. Maybe some of the old timers at ICF who have watched him live can give a better perspective on paaji's hitting exploits.
punjabi_khota Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 All I can say is that UV is yet to play "175 in world cup" kind of a innings.
Ram Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 'biggest.....beast....fastest....' I am hearing these adjectives a little too often these days. We seem to be going a little too 'pakistani' off late. It's time the Indian fans stopped eating those lbs of red meat and started eating a little more of brain food.
punjabi_khota Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Matlaab ? Lurker is the in house Kapil paaji expert...:eyedance:
patriot Posted September 17, 2009 Author Posted September 17, 2009 ..you should be P_K, also being frm Chandigarh, your dad ( unless he is not a cricket fan) must be your source.

Fortunately I've never touched meat in my lifetime.

Lord Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 wow two chandigarh lads fighting for biggest hitting.nice:two_thumbs_up:
Sachinism Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Yusuf and Yuvi are the biggest hitters India have produced
Aadhavzone Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 I cant rate Kapil with this new generation. He was extremely awasome during his years, that when cricket was too slow! 175 runs is the best indian innings ever i would bet! but things are different Shewag would be ideal for the spot in present Indian team!
rishi008 Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 kapil is the best allrounder of asia till now...
vvvslaxman Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Kapil used to be the cleanest hitter. Kapil used to smash extreme pace bowling to all parts of the ground. He even swept Winston Benjamin for a six over square leg. He made minemeat of Donald on couple of occasions. Presently that tag goes to Yuvraj. Cleanest hitting machine.
Ram Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Havent seen much of Kapil’s batting either live or recorded so cannot really make a well informed comment. But among current players, I cannot see even a micrometer past Yuvraj. Many an astronaut returning from space has claimed to see cricket balls orbiting the earth in the upper atmosphere. We all now know who put them there.
Dinx - the Jinx Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Amay Khurasia.. if anyone has seen him
chiku Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 When Yuvi is in the zone, he needs to just touch the ball thatsall... the ball will fly away. Kapil dev was an effort hitter like dhoni and pathan, Yuvraj is a sweet timer like ganguly but with lots more power.
Aadhavzone Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Guyz why you all are not talking about Viru? i agree Yuvi is the cleanest hitter, but Viru as well naa? also Raina is simply swashbuckling!
siddhu Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Amay Khurasia.. if anyone has seen him The khurasias and bedades were lost to the 6-hitting hype around them. They would try to hit every ball for six just like afretard... which is why they were not as consistent and duly dropped. I am so glad that BCCI selectors don't think like the PCB ones...
