If Gambhir cannot make it, I would seriously contemplate Yusuf Pathan opening. Give him free license to smack the ball, if he gets out making a 15 ball 30 so be it. Obviously the bowlers will pound him with bouncers but if he comes off boy will India be off to a Sehwag-esque flyer.
