Dude don't get us started on the countless pathetic comparisons with Pakistan's former greats. Indians are just as pathetic and fickle as anyone else in world cricket, do you not recall Irfan Pathan being touted as the next Wasim Akram? You guys are unbelievably racist, I have many Indian friends in the real world, none of them have issues with Pakistan and none of them are as arrogant and ignorant as the posters on here. Why Pakistanis and Indians have to hurl foul rubbish at each other is beyond me. Instead of praising Afridi, Yousuf for their recent glories, and achievements you bring up Tendulkar's performances, what's that got to do with anything? Instead of accepting that Tendulkar is high class batsman, the Pakistanis will bring up how he was manhandled by Asif in Karachi, it's kind of pathetic, how Pakis and Rags behave, really is.
Read the thead before you go screaming your head off.

Comparison was made between Akmal and Tendulkar. Why should we praise a over-rated clown Afridi here?

Ok .... Peace friends. As I started the thread, I didn't want to insult Tendulkar or any one. I just wanted to say that this young Lad is showing he could be Tendulkar II with his immense talent and cool thinking head. Let's forget about breaking Records & encourage the young Cricketing Talents through out the worlds.

Faulty technique to start with . Hes a slightly better bat then Kamran Akmal ...very good by pak standards , but sorry Akmal would never make it to the indian team ..let alone comparing him with tendulkar

dude call it anything but the phrase "next Sachin" cracks me up :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: This kid has not even passed 10 ODIs and is being compared to a man who has played 428 ODIs consistently? :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: The thread opener must not have enough cricketing experience nor a brain to make sense! :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: i don't even know why Indian fans are taking this nonsense seriously in the first place. They should be using plenty of these smilies ---->:hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:

i dont know why most of us here are very protective abt SRT's records... that attitude is making most of us to blindly refuse to accept anyone as better or even near comparison to SRT. even after proving so much we dont dare to think ponting is anywhere near sachin. well.. ponting is an a ss hol and that why we dont like him - fair enuf... but why are we simply being harsh on umar, i really dont understand.. many in this thread have acknowledgd that umar is an exciting new talent, but are not ready to compare him to srt yet.. fair enough.. he still has a long way to go.. but 20 yrs ago, when srt made his debut.. dint we all have the same feeling - the feeling that "alam_dar" is trying to share with us, the neighbours. he just wants to celebrate the arrival of a new born in his house hold by distributing sweets and why are we being such reckless neighbours by snubbing his happiness... i'm not sure how many of you were old enough to appreciate cricket in 1989 when sachin made his debut... but those of you who were, i'm sure you would have immediately realized that this guy is going to be a world beater, will play on for next 20 years and will end up with all records under his name.. it wasn't more than 2 yrs since sunny's retirement and we indians saw the next sunny or even better than sunny in a 16 yr old sachin, who dint even make a century in that series. it took another series or two before he made his maiden ton, but by then we started celebrating our new hero.. why did we, at that time think that sachin will go on to become what he is today... and whats wrong if Alam dar and his country men rejoice when they see something like that in Umar? whether Umar goes on to become what Sachin is or ends up with just 1/4th doesnt matter. Here is a new talent that has come to the worls level at such an young age. and he does seem to be a good talent. lets congratulate him and see what he has to offer us fans instad of snubbing him because we dont want anyone to be compared to sachin. dint we compare sachin to bradman years ago? to be frank.. inspite of sachin's numerous achievements, i still think he dint fulfill some of the promises and hopes that were raised when he became an overnight star in 1989-90. we all thought, here is a guy who is going to bring us the world cup home every 4 years.. 20 years on, he still hasnt delivered that particular good.. apart from that he has brought us joy on innumerable occassions.. and broke so many records and set quite a few as well, about which we are all very proud...

Tait has no control over his bolwing and its no big deal to score against him ..& I have seen a small clip of that match , it was not a seaming pitch FYI

For gods sake dont bring the same topic .Sachin has not won a WC..there are 11 members in a team ..everyone has to perform to achieve that.. We are not jealous of Umar Akmal or anyone.. the thing is there are so many outstanding young players like AB Deviliers, Duminy, Kandamby, Mathews, Guptil, Raina ..need any more? why suddenly umar akmal ..he has done much yet? saying he is best seen after a long time after sachin ..wat crap..

i wrote about 5 paragraph.. and you saw only the last one..huh? well..dint we all feel/hope that sachin would one day bring us the WC (1996 and 2003 WCs for instance)? I'm not saying only Sachin should. But weren't we happy when he got us CB series? ok.. if you want, i'll take that last paragraph off... the essence of my post is, it doesnt require x number of centuries or y number of years in intl cricket to spot an emerging talent. when we celebrated sachin tendulakar's arrival even before he scored a century, whats wrong if the Poyz feel the same when they see someone in their own backyard.. thats all i wanted to convey.. thanks.. alvida. PS: God is god :adore: no one can catch him.. :icflove:

yeah - it was a joke.. we dint realize at that time that this guy is only fit for making / breaking individual records. nothing substantial will come for the team.. wen i look back, even i feel like :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:
