Dhoni gave a recent interview and I think this team is 99% confirmed - only toss up will be between Kohli vs. Nayar Gambhir SRT RD MSD Raina Kohli Pathan Bhajji Nehra RP Ishant He has mentioned that he would like to have Mishra but due to lack of a bowling all-rounder (hint: Irfan) - he cannot risk losing another front-line medium pacer. So this team is pretty much a shoe-in barring Kohli decision but since YKP is in, I don't think MSD will take Nayar I think this will be a gross mistake. Mishra for Nehra/Ishant and Nayar for Kohli is much needed to boost bowling and batting.

It amazes me that despite having decent spinners in the bag, we tend we go with these mediocre phaast bowlers (read trundlers).

well u could have opted for irfan,MS. I think Mishra should play.Nayar can be our 3rd pacer.hes not a frontline bowler,but wont be much worse than those RP n Ishant on this dead wicket

Irfans form hasnt been great to be fair and Nayyar could be a viable alternative. He should be given a try-out Id agree with the two spinners option and Nayyar, RPS and Nehra being the 'pace'men.

The only reason we will play 3 seamers is that none of these 3 are good enough to be trusted. Especially with no IKP or another Phaast bowling all rounder around there is nothing MSD can do if one of the bowler gets hit for plenty.
