flamy
Pure class. This is how our team is different from the daddy days of 90s. :finger: We just need to tweak the team a little bit, bringing in Nayar for Yuppo and fitting in Mishra for a pacer and we'll be a different team. What fantastic in your face batting from both Raina and Gambhir and both of them got out in an unlucky fashion. I love my team. :isalute: Link to comment
Params7
Yeah agreed, Gambhir and then Raina both gave us the boost to put us in a reasonable RRR. That six from Raina was huge, so was the one from Gambhir off Gul! Link to comment
flamy
Raina's innings especially was so effortless! Now, if we could just learn to play short stuff, he will be a batter to reckon with. Link to comment
patriot
Raina and Gambhir = Typical new brave India. More to come. :isalute: Link to comment
Guest Hiten.
To be honest, I did not give a chance to this batting line up. In other words, I expected us to fold out under 200. Raina and GG took care of the RRR and were finding boundaries at ease. I agree with Nayar and Mishra's inclusion. But knowing MSD's captaincy and man-management skills he won't change the team or at the max he'll bring in Mishra for RP. He did the same blunder in T20 WC by sticking to same god damn XI and did not fiddle with the men at his disposal (don't take it the perverted way! :thefinger:) Link to comment
Master Blaster
And dont forget that we're missing our 3 key players at the moment.. Link to comment
Show_stopper
Agreed..Gambhir and Raina's innings helped soften the blow of defeat..for me that is. We know with Sehwag and Yuvaj back..we will have 'the' batting line-up. Let the pakis celebrate this. I was so happy with the way Raina played. Even if he could just avoid the bouncer properply..he will be the future star for India. Link to comment
Zelig
That straight six off Umer GUl was pure class. Link to comment
Jai Ho
these boys are great but how they will do against short pitch delivers ? Link to comment
veer
disappointed at gambo's attitude when he got run out.. why didnt he dive.. ?? everything else was awesome upto that point.. Link to comment
newmanthepunter
I dont think raina's innings was that good.. hitting sixes of shoib malik aint provin his class... y not try against the current best spinner in the world- saed ajmal???? and hittin sixes of free hits are no great feat either Link to comment
veer
these boys are great but how they will do against short pitch delivers ? gambo has proven himself against short pitches in Aus and NZ.. Raina is still working out on his techniques.. Link to comment
rahul005
These two were the only players who gave us hope (credit to Dravid also). They both played well fought innings and Gambhir was unlucky to be run out which was definitely the turning point in the match. Link to comment
Temujin Khaghan
if rohit sharma has the commitment that raina shows... it would be great wouldnt it? Link to comment
ViruRulez
Raina and Gauti are pure class but I think Raina still has some days to reach perfection though Gauti has nearly reached that in the last few years. I personally would also prefer Dhoni coming at his usual no. 3 position even while chasing a big total. If he wants to play the sheet anchor role he can also do that instead of Dravid. Even if Dhoni plays a sheet anchor role yet he would have a better SR than Dravid IMO. Dravid can come later on in the innings in case of emergency. Link to comment
zubinpepsi
I like these 2.. Gauti.. omg wat an aggression he showed.. putting all those paki bowlers with absolute brute.... and Raina boy is class always.. :icflove: Link to comment
Dinx - the Jinx
Raina is 70% Yuvi and 30% God (before Sachin worshippers kick my a ss, pls note i'm saying les than 50%) rolled into one.. :adore: YUVARAINA :adore: Link to comment
vvvslaxman
Fearless cricket. These guys simply walloped their bowlers. Amazing to watch. Link to comment
