putrevus Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Every columnist and expert are making as if India is the worst team ever to set foot on the planet. When they were winning all those odi series this same media touted them next coming for Bradman's invincibles and world no1 .India team never was that good nor they are this bad. They are somewhere in the middle. Few things that needs to be notes in all that winning which Indians did in odis last 18 months it was mainly due to their batting, now that their batting strength has weakened due to injuries to viru and Yuvi results are not there. DileepPremachandran: Rajesh, the reality is that they were expected to qualify. When you're ranked No.1 or 2, there's no scope for excuses. They were comprehensively beaten by Pakistan, and I doubt they'd have beaten Australia given how that game was going. Who made this idiot an expert.Australia were given run for their money by even WI , so was pakistan, why is it everybody thinking that we would have lost to aussies if it didn't rain out Fricking england is in semis that just show how luck has to do with winning CT.Aussies were so lucky to get in. So chill let us blast aussies back in india.
cowboysfan Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 i think we could have beaten the aussies.it only needed on big innings from somebody and we could have chased even 320.
putrevus Posted September 30, 2009 Author Posted September 30, 2009 i think we could have beaten the aussies.it only needed on big innings from somebody and we could have chased even 320. Pakistan got lucky they won the toss and they had that partnership that day.Dhoni got cute by his stupid bowling changes.
Params7 Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 yeah no big loss. Rain + stupid tourny format screwed us basically.
riya Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 We are talking about our media and our journalists,I wonder why would we take them so seriously. They are as inconsistent as it gets. And I hope Dhoni keep them away as far as possible.
Pak_Fan_4_Eva Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Pakistan got lucky they won the toss and they had that partnership that day.Dhoni got cute by his stupid bowling changes. You call that lucky ?:haha:
coffee_rules Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 They all talk about fan expectation. Every fan expects their team to win. If they lose they will turn up for the next match to cheer. So, why should any team's losses be weighed in with that factor.
coffee_rules Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 You call that lucky ?:haha: Yes, winning the toss and setting 300 won the match for you. If you had lost the toss, India would have set 300 and won the match too.
gs Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Pakistan got lucky they won the toss and they had that partnership that day.Dhoni got cute by his stupid bowling changes. Dont think it was luck. Our listless pie chuckers sucked and Pak batsmen took advantage of it. Our batting just lacks the firepower to chase 300+ without Sehwag and Yuvraj. The better team on the day won and dont think there is any shame admitting that.
vvvslaxman Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Some fans got worked up because it was Pakistan. I am not really upset because it was 50/50 before the match due to absence from key players. After toss it became 40/60. Only reason i am mad is because of persistence with certain players. India was oncourse till 90 required in 80 balls.
riya Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Yes' date=' winning the toss and setting 300 won the match for you. If you had lost the toss, India would have set 300 and won the match too.[/quote'] Yes they are lucky to win the toss, but at the end it was our bad bowling and tactical errors of Dhoni cost us.So don't hide behind luck.
Guest gaurav_indian Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Its not about one match. Its about our bowling attack. :wall: Time to kick Ishant and RP. Bahut ho gayi inki nautanki. Inse achi bowling toh Dhoni karwa leta hai.
Celeste Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Yes' date=' winning the toss and setting 300 won the match for you. If you had lost the toss, India would have set 300 and won the match too.[/quote'] the ifs & buts :banghead:

kooljatt Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 hey ! we r still no 2 :yay: aus...watch out out for this man !
coffee_rules Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Can somebody explain to me, what the so-called expert Dileep is talking about on CI chat: DileepPremachandran: I think rotation is needed for sure to prevent young bowlers burning out, but like Dhoni said yesterday, the public also has to understand why it's necessary. If effigies are burnt each time the second-string lose a relatively inconsequential match, how can India build a strong bench? In some ways, the fans are just as much to blame. So when did we build teams based on 'fear' of the fan-wrath? HTF are fans to be blamed?
vvvslaxman Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Hope Australia loses to England. That way their ranking will dip :--D
Guest gaurav_indian Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Hope Australia loses to England. That way their ranking will dip :--D Australia should win the champions trophy. And then we will beat them in 7 match ODI series.
Params7 Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Australia should win the champions trophy. And then we will beat them in 7 match ODI series. And take Rank 1 back. Yes yes. :--D
