Mr. Wicket
Grand Sichuan on 23rd and 9th. Make sure you order the pork broth dumplings. Szechuan Gourmet on 39th just off 5th Ave is also superb. Dumplings there and the lamb w/ cumin is not to be missed. Peking Duck House is slightly fancier, more limited in cuisine but great if you are a duck fan. patriot
Mamoun's Falafel - The best I've experienced among a dozen other lebanese /Syrian joints. As for the bar - nopes no Middle East restaurant has alcohol IMO. 119 MacDougal St, New York, NY 10012

Szechuan is the spiciest among Chinese cuisine, right ? I am mostly thinking chicken/lamb, not duck so much.
Mr. Wicket
Yeah, and intensely spicy - the lamb w/ cumin at Sich Gourmet (or the shredded chicken w/ chillies at Grand Sich) are heavy on the spices.
