rahulrulezz
Now Nehra walks of with by miles the worst economy rate. By 3 runs an over got spanked by more then 2nd worst bowler. Get this waste of space out of team. WHERE ARE HIS FAN CLUB? When I started the thread got abused, laughed at and ridiculed! Posts saying I knew jack and silly pompous smileys. Where are the Nehra fans now?:winky: He is rubbish and needs booting out! other than some 'pure' delhiwallas, noone supported Nehra.. Nehra got a chance because every other bowler was bowling like champu ...Nehras lucky phase is gone and he is back to his usual Link to comment
Andy
I thnk if other bowlers can even bowl line and length!! This bowler shudnt play!! It was due to the fact other bowlers were bowling crap!! Bow with Zak back,Ishant back suwhat, If shreeshant gets well Nehra shud only remain a 12th man!! Link to comment

vvvslaxman
If not for bowling his fielding is going to cost his place. He has been okay in the one dayers. For T20 he should have never been picked. Link to comment
saneindian
You can pan him as much as you want to, but no one can deny him the praise for doing well in international cricket after his comeback. After all those injuries, surgeries, physiotherapy sessions etc and being completely written off, the fact that he could comeback to the team in itself was a great achievement. As for him not being anywhere near the team, well, all you need to do is to take a look at his stats since his comeback and compare that to what oher bowlers have done in the same time. 16 matches, 25 wickets@26 and a ER of 5.58, agreed it isnt great, but it isnt bad either. This is what Indian bowlers have done since Nehra's comeback http://stats.cricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?class=2;spanmin1=25+Jun+2009;spanval1=span;team=6;template=results;type=bowling This is the list of all the bowlers in the same period http://stats.cricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?class=2;spanmin1=25+Jun+2009;spanval1=span;template=results;type=bowling Pan him as much as you can and want to , but the fact is he has been our best bowler since his comeback. Sooda
He had a good ODI series versus Australia. Good one day bowler- he always has been. Sholuld be at the forefront of our ODI pace bowling pool. Link to comment

vvvslaxman
He gives break through at the top. But he is definitely not a good death bowling option. He leaks most of his runs there. He can bowl the middle overs. Link to comment

No one in the current team is a great fielder barring Raina. Rest of them are at best average or below average. And BTW which of our fast bowlers is a great fielder. Zaheer, Ishant, Praveen, RPS, Munaf, Sreesanth all are pretty sloppy fielders. Having said that, these guys do need to work on their fielding and the first step they could take towards being better fielders is to start catching those dollies that they have been putting down. vvvslaxman
You are right. All our fast bowlers are real sloppy. They just don't work hard at it. Irfan is half decent . He can barely match someone like Shaun Pollock, Brett Lee, Fanie Devilliers. Link to comment
Andy
Bowling wise..Nehra sudnt be bowling in death overs!! If dhoni can afford dat..then only Nehra must remain!! Link to comment
youngindia
in internatinal cricket, you have to be a matchwinner first and foremost. In indian batting, that's pretty much the case due to the high standards. the same applies to the bowling as well. though the matchwinners have been much fewer. if you are talkin about a average of 27, we can as well bring sir aggy back. we pretty well know he won matches only in the early year of his career. nehra has to be removed immediately.he may take wickets here and there. but he does not trouble the best and not a matchwinner by any standard. this requires a vision of building a no 1 team. Attitude what ? :/ There should be strict entry criteria for shorter version of the game. a player selected should be good in at least two out of batting, bowling and fielding. Players like Nehra who excel in one format but pathetic in others have to be kicked out Link to comment

Attitude what ? :/ his laid back attitude and being in a imaginary world at most of time .. absent minded professor is the word .. he does not give confidence that he will give 100% in a match .. he needs to be shown the door .. we can groom a tyagi or sreeshanth but not a nehra ..
