Specially his work on Nehru was a masterpiece, I think. For someone like him to behave he has recently has been extremely discouraging
ViruRulez Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 I was just visiting a website when I saw a lecture by Shashi Tharoor and it was a great speech and he sounded very genuine. He is saying about the same India and his idea of India seems to be very similar to what we all have. He also received a standing ovation from all the audience including which mostly consisted of foreigners. It was great to hear the speech and now I am really doubting if he was genuinely guilty or was he just made a scapegoat by the Congress. Or maybe he was too frank and not that diplomatic that politics did not suit him. Anyways awesome speech and reflects what we all think. That is all I can say after listening to the speech. Even every foreigner was spellbound by his speech and frankly speaking he was carrying forward the positive brand India very well through this speech. :hatsoff: EiTrl0W1QrM
ViruRulez Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 I was just scavenging through Tharoor's recent tweets and found his article on outlook about the Indian media and the shambolic depths it has lowered itself to nowadays. Frankly speaking Tharoor speaks a lot what we speak and after reading several of his articles and tweets I am not sure if he was really the villain or was he made out to be one. His humour, eloquence and intellectual adroitness is something indeed remarkable. Frankly speaking he seems more charismatic and sensible than Rahul Gandhi or any other leader though he might not sound like the regular politician. Nilekani is one of my favorites amongst non-political leaders and that is why I am very hopeful of UIDAI under him. I have also mentioned a few threads here on ICF too about him. His visions of India are awesome and his idea of implementation is sincere.
