Riley's Girl Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 Just found the pic of the "angry young man" look of our Captain Cool from yesterday's match. He was looking awesome in that pic. Johnson was messing around with our batsmen including Veeru but after that look Johnson did not say a single word throughout the match. :phehehe: Take that Mitch! Loved it during the match, love the pic.

Sachin_Rulez Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 Gotta give it to Dhoni, Mr.Consistent. He doesn't have complete range of shots (like sachin or yuvi has) but still scores at really good SR and puts a heavy price on his wicket . Simply superb!!! However I'm not convinced of his batting in T20s, which is still a liability.
nikred Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 What a pic!! Too good! Thanks for sharing!! btw, an old vid that shows our skipper on skates Yc3LX6TGCbk MSD is a wily cricketer. Always takes advantage of the lapse of concentration from the opposition player. :haha:
flamy Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 Dhoni is an amazing talent. He seems to have a very faulty technique' date=' but I think he is odd in his bat uplift and follow through. When he makes contact with the ball, he does things right. And he can clear field with sheer power even when he mistimes a shot. He reads the ball very well even on difficult surfaces. He can defend, he can attack, he can rotate strike. This guys is an absolute genius.[/quote'] God

mhr123 Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 from the time dhoni debuted for india ,i am more impressed with his stamina to steal singles and two's rather than his big hitting ..just amazing .. i remember in last series against australia at home .. he had run a half dozen 2's in a single over which was just freaky .. and in the end of it he was looking for more !! this is reason he has ability to play big innings but still we should not burn him out .. he is multi tasking a lot at the moment for my liking .. The Legendry idiot Matt Prior got pwned by our kaptan...:giggle:

King Tendulkar Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 The recent partnership between Gambhir and Dhoni was just a pleasure to watch! The manipulation of the ball in to gaps and singles and twos was just sheer poetry. It also showed the brillinace of odis as you would not get such a partnership in tests and more importantly neithr in 20/20 were the need for slogging would have meant big ugly swipes coming in to play.
Rajiv Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 hey tics, a real tensed one. But thanks to yuvi and dhoni, it was almost miraculous
mhr123 Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 Dhoni has been unbeaten on 22 ocassions when India have chased succesfully.... That's some record yaar :icflove:
Rajiv Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 This was one of the toughest ones I have seen, I dare say many teams would have struggled to chase on this pitch

Rajiv Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 maza aa gayafrom this match - I am going to rewind and watch again
Sachinism Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 MSD is more solid player against any bowling attack' date=' [b']Yuvi is doing better nowadays against spin bowling, previously he was quite :nervous:. Their presence together while batting looks rock solid :two_thumbs_up: Yup that is great to see, after years of criticism, he has made the effort and improved his technique against spin, now the opposition have nowhere to turn to when Yuvi explodes
