coffee_rules
^ I wouldn't take plate division performances too seriously unless you have seen the guy in action. Notable plate divsion picks: Sreesanth was from plate division. I am not sure, but even Saurashtra was in plate when Pujara was considered. Asnodkar (for IPL) too. I am not sure of anybody else. Karnataka was in the plate division, when the 2-leagues were formed for the first time. Link to comment

I am not saying that plate division will not produce any good cricketers, just cautioning that a mere look at the scorecard will not reveal much. Link to comment
Guest Hiten.
Abid Nabi is a genuine trundler and hardly hits 130 mark. From what I saw in ICL, he was nothing more than PK sans swinging ability. @ Mumbai's fightback . Agarkar playing yet another 'handy' knock scoring and Mumbai declared sportingly setting target of 252 for Himachal to chase it on the last day. Impressed with the positive intent in our local circuit. Link to comment

ViruRulez
Just checked the scorecards for this round. It seems Harmeet Singh has emerged as a good prospect and he and Iqbal Abdulla were crucial in the Mumbai win as they took 7 wickets each. Harmeet was playing his first first-class match as per cricinfo. I am more impressed with the Abdualla kid lad. I dont watch matches and so dont know if he fits international standards. But he is always amongst the best in wickets columns as I see in most matches. I have never seen him bowl but how is he actually? He seems to be a spinner but I see good no. of wickets in his tally in almost on all Ranji matches. On making some more research, I also saw that he was part of our U-19 WC winning team in 2008 alongside Kohli and Jadeja and he was India's highest wicket taking bowler there. The kid is mentioned as 19 years by cricinfo and so might be a good prospect. I am really impressed with his statistics for the last few matches. How well does he bowl? Has anybody seen him bowl in the Ranji matches :hmmm: Amongst other bowling performances, R Ashwin has impressed once again with 6 wickets and Abid Nabi with 9 wickets to take their teams to victories. Sony Cheruvathur took 10 wickets but he is 32 years old as per cricinfo and hence maybe not a prospect. Amongst others, Vinay Kumar took another 5 wicket haul. Link to comment

ludhianvi
Punjab's think tank is changing the starting XI like playing musical chairs:winky: I found Abdulla's bowling style very simplistic although he's a good fielder and handy with the bat. But still he keeps getting wickets in domestic matches though.
