Yantra Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 on youtube you have Shahid Afridi, and one guy from Australian Domestic team, but guys, according to your knowledge who do you think has hit the biggest six ever? to my knowlege it is kapildev against newzealand at Gabba around 1980, the old gabba, he has hit that ball out of the ground and it landed in the surrounding street, the impact of the six was so hard and so terrifying to then kiwie captain Jeremy Coney that he raised his white handkerchief to surrender jokingly thought, I have seen that video in the past but now can not seem to locate the link to it, if somebody finds it please post it here so all indian cricket lover can feel proud of great Kapildev.

Ram Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Don’t know about distances, but that Shahid Afridi six off Symonds is probably the most meaty blow I have seen on a cricket field. The crowd’s reaction to that shot and Bill Lawry’s commentary just made it all the more exciting.
Karan114 Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 That Aiden Blizzard hit was something. Yep. Just astonishing power.
bhanu Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 afridi six on austrilia was the biggest six....
gaurav92 Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Blizzard blitzed a short ball into the parking corner by whacking it over the mid wicket fence at the WACA.That was the biggest that i have ever seen
guju24 Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 i think yuvi's six at first T20 WC against lee in semi final went for 113m i guess...it was just awesome shot flicked it for sixxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
vvvslaxman Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Few sixes that come to my mind Albie's six in IPL. To hit the top of the roof at Chepauk stadium it has to travel enoromous distance. I have never seen anyone hitting that far in chennai. Before that Sidhu was the longest hitter in Chepauk. Eldine Baptiste hit a few out onto the road in the 80s albeit county match. Brett Lee smashing Harmison in 2005 Ashes
King Tendulkar Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Yuvraj has the top 10 biggest hits of all time! Although saying that Gayles v Lee as above was MASSIVE
WeStMiDz Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Well since they have introduced this method of seeing how many metres the ball went, none has been bigger than Yuvraj's 119m off Lee in the T20 Semi but then again you never know how reliable these things are. Gayle's six off Lee was absolutely massive and even though hawkeye said it was around 100m, I'm sure it was MUCH bigger.
