phaedrus Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 havent been a big fan of Munna's body language but he has turned things around in the last 8-10 months. has been consistant and effective. btw, joint highest wicket taker this year
rkt.india Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Who? Munaf Patel? http://www.espncricinfo.com/icc_cricket_worldcup2011/content/story/509644.html I would rather believe the team's bowling coach who's worked with him closely rather than some random punter on a message board. Thanks anyway. He was talking about Arpy Singh, not Munaf Patel..

desi pride 1234 Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 rp has lost his pace and swing like irfan. will be a absoulte dumb selection if he gets selected.
Cricket Tragic Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 havent been a big fan of Munna's body language but he has turned things around in the last 8-10 months. has been consistant and effective. btw, joint highest wicket taker this year  Munna has been in great form since SA. He has also become a better fielder (relatively) and has better body language. Bowling average of under 30 in ODIs at a decent eco rate.
Sid Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Yes RP looked in rythm during the IPL as well, definately a better choice than Mithun.
Fontaine Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 I was talking about RP not Munaf. If you cant understand that cant help you. You didn't mention RP or any names and your post was right after mine regarding Munaf that's why I asked who you were referring to. But you're right, you can't help anyone! :--D
King Tendulkar Posted June 17, 2011 Author Posted June 17, 2011 When watching jokers like Kumar and the selction of more jokers like mithun for test squad. It really does put in to clarity how ridiculous the exclusion of RP is
Cricket Tragic Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Mithun :hysterical: I really belived that this guy was fast since Dravid made some big statements about his pace before he got picked for India.
King Tendulkar Posted June 17, 2011 Author Posted June 17, 2011 We need different selectors for our pacers. As they seem clueless. I mean first Kumar and then Mithun and then previously Unadkat. None of these 3 losers gets over 79 mph. God knows what Fletcher is gonna do when he sees Kumar bowl at 71 mph. As Fletcher is guy who demanded pace for England and threw in Harmmison and Jones for England even though they were very raw and not much FC cricket.
King Tendulkar Posted June 17, 2011 Author Posted June 17, 2011 Why the F have they picked Mithun. Our selctors are bonkers, they seem to have no idea about what is required in a pacer at international level.
King Tendulkar Posted June 17, 2011 Author Posted June 17, 2011 There must be some kind of south quota, no other explanation for picking losers like Mithun
Cricket Tragic Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Has anyone actually watched him bowl or followed his recent matches? Only FC please. Some say that he is back to his best while others think that he has lost it forever.
phaedrus Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 saw him in a couple of FC matches earlier this year. didnt look 100% to be honest. maybe he was coming back from some injury :idunno:

rkt.india Posted June 18, 2011 Posted June 18, 2011 He sung the ball in IPL at decent pace, but was not looking in shape, few extra pounds which won't help his bowling tests, especially in windies where pitches are similar to India and he has been super flop on Indian pitches both in tests and ODI because of his 4 balls every over.
vvvslaxman Posted June 18, 2011 Posted June 18, 2011 saw him in a couple of FC matches earlier this year. didnt look 100% to be honest. maybe he was coming back from some injury :idunno: It is one of those gamble you should take. He has done well in SA, Australia, England better than other places. So it is worth picking him for the tour.

say2chander Posted June 18, 2011 Posted June 18, 2011 Would be unfait to Ishant and Sreesanth. They both brillliantly in SA
