Celeste Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 WEST Indies captain Chris Gayle has given Nathan Hauritz the ultimate backhander. Gayle said facing the Australian off-spinner was "like I'm bowling to myself". The Windies skipper, who has no special rating of his own part-time off-spin, does not appear to be quivering in his boots about the prospect of facing Hauritz in Perth. http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/cricket/gayle-says-hauritz-action-like-me/story-e6frey50-1225809950370 :hysterical:

S.Bond Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Umm' date=' dude just carried his bat for 165 in the last game.[/quote'] that was a great innings,he should play more innings like that. His test average doesn't do justice to his talent...
Laaloo Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Chrys Gaile from Jamaica: "When facing Daniel Vettori it's like a left handed version of me bowling to myself. He hardly ever spins the ball." Cheeky. Comparing Vettori to Hauritz now are we? :cantstop:

lonestarranger Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 Gayle. He's quite a character. We probably have to devote a separate column just for his quotes. Probably, after Sidhuism, we'll also need to coin a new term in cricket... This one in particular stands out (from Gayle). This, after they lost pathetically to England in a Test-match, where a debutant (Onion) returned with best-match figures. "We've had a bit of Onion in the eye" We've gotta hand it to him. :adore: Gayle :adore:
