vvvslaxman Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Hero? When? He had one good series against Australia in Tests. That's about it.
Nova Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 He seriously should take a break and work on his bowling.
vvvslaxman Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Take a break? He is not Sachin Tendulkar. He should be dropped dead. He has to work his way into the side just like everybody else. I really like to see his bowling in Ranji. Chances are he will be thrashed around there as well.
asterix Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 IPL spoiled him..He got hyped like few other players..When you are earning Millions, you can't bother to work hard.. IPL has spoiled many a players now..
Texy Posted December 24, 2009 Author Posted December 24, 2009 900,000 dollars for him... became super rich super quick
vvvslaxman Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Sharukh is an idiot to spend 950 k on this useless git. He was torn apart by Taylor, Rohit.
Show_stopper Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Guys i feel sorry for our bowlers..did anyone catch Ganguly's take on why our bowlers go down the drain after bright starts? I mean you see bowlers from England,Aus and SA..the amount of work they do on their fitness. I am not sure if our guys eveer do or are even aware of it. Another reason could be the diet these bowlers and in general cricketers follow. I once heard Ishant's coach was planning to ask him to try non-veg stuff to put on weight!!! C'mon are these guys even aware of proteins etc.? I feel time has come for the BCCI to do something drastic..football style managers perhaps who have full say about the players diet and exercise regime perhaps? I don't know...but this trend has to be a broken. This is happening too frequently for it to be a coincidence..it reflects the failure of the system and the obvious lack of knowledge as far as fast bowling fitness and rehabilitation is concerned in the country.

This is the sorry state of our bowling that there really are no good alternatives when it comes to seamers.
asterix Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Main reason in IPL..Players can't be bothered to improve..All they have to do is to stay fit during IPL.. Whether they are in the team or not, it doesn't matters to them anymore..They are already earning millions..Pisshant even have Ads going on..I mean, if they can market Pisshant and PK, they can market any one.. Chewtiya public is already there to lap up everything thrown towards them..
cowboysfan Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 some players suck in limited overs cricket and Ishant is one of them, the sooner we realize this the better it is for everybody.

Srinath, Kumble barely got injured even though they were veggies..regarding putting on weight, look at Sehwag and Laxman, both are Gollu-Mollus of our team and are veggies as well.. so plz bring this veggie $h!t like some those retarded Pakistanis do
vvvslaxman Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Ishant sucks in one dayers. Period. Why going around blaming pitches. He was hit around in New zealand also. Ryder smoted 3 sixes off him.
The Realist Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Enough is enough - how much rope do you give someone who shows no sign of improvement, in fact seems to be getting worse? Not to sound like a broken record, but in my previous posts I have lamented the lack of attention played in India to fitness, athleticism and body conditioning. Until this is addressed the bowling is going nowhere. Sharma's potential has evaporated, he just runs in aimlessly and bowls the same juice half-volleys over after over and gets smashed. He gives the impression he is not much of a thinker and shows no signs of improvement. Drop him and do not pick him until he has shown some real form. A spell in county cricket might sort his lazy mentality out.
PotterManiac Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Give him a nice long break and he'll be back to form
The Realist Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 You give breaks to those who have performed and deserve a rest. Sharma performs but for the opposition and deserves the axe.
kabira Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 it was foolish to select him. He should have been playing Ranji Q/F
