Challenging Mohammad Yusuf's recent assertion that 'T20 will destroy Pakistani cricket', Afridi defended the shorter version claiming Twenty20 is the best of the three formats of the game. Afridi added "Yusuf Bhai is emotional after the recent loss to Australia. He has forgotten that T20 was invented by Pakistan to keep its cricket alive". As the news room looked puzzled by Afridi's claims that Pakistan invented T20 cricket, Afridi went on to explain. "The efforts to convert a Test match into Twenty20 started way back in 2002, when our fore fathers piled up 59 and 53 against Australia in two consecutive innings. Australia, however struggled to comprehend the rules. They went onto bat for more than 20 overs" "I would say people who heap criticism on our bowlers and batsmen simply do not understand the rules of the game. Akhtar bowls 4 overs in a test match because that is what the rules allow. And stop criticizing our openers. The openers job is to come out and swing. While the rule books dont say anything about hand eye coordination, we recommend that the eyes remain closed while the hands swing", Afridi showed us in slow motion how to swing with eyes closed. "Pakistan is the first team to understand how important bench strength is. We have given opportunities to 38 test openers in the last 5 years, the highest of all test playing nations". "Since all our pacers play in the intense heat of Multan, research by our Hakeems has shown that their peni.s shrinks over time. So we recommend nandrolone to have their organs restored. We also put them through ICC protection program, where the players will be offered tips and tricks to pass ICC's drug tests". "Yusuf Bhai should respect our rich traditions and continue his support for the game that Pakistan invented". When asked what Younis needs to do to make a comeback, Afridi recommended that Younis grow a big beard to in the reckoning again. With lots of T20 action to come, Pakistan's cricket seems to have a bright future in the years ahead.

The fact that you even defend such stories is testimony to what these guys are capable of saying or doing. :hysterical:
