Also it's unlikely that a man of Lampone's stature would be sent to do the job, he's a caporegime and it's almost suicidal. The first one is one of the best of all time. It was too damn long + slow. Nothing really was happening in the movie for at least 40-50 minutes :((

The first one, while a little too long, is just such a great story. The second one drags on and on. Of course none of them can compete with the book.

Kamal Hassan as Don Corleone was one of the best performance ever. nayakan movie is inspired by godfather. but kamal's role is based on mumbai don varadharajan mudhaliar. actually one of the best intrepretations of the godfather while not being very loyal to the original plot like sarkar is "Thevar Magan". In my opinion kamal's best movie. .
