That's what they said a couple of decades+ ago when Shastri, Gavaskar, Vengsarkar and friends were winning us trophies. That's also what they said a decade or so ago when Amol Muzumdar, Kambli, Bahutule and Nilesh Kulkarni formed the backbone of a superb Ranji winning squad. As for Rahane and Nayar (not to forget the other young blood like Abdulla and Kukreja), they will be around a while.
