Discussing the second test between Ind-BD at Dhakka, 2010

Its amazing to see how opinions about Sreesanth have changed after a couple of bad games. When he made the comeback everyone was like :yay: and the moment something goes wrong, everyone goes :bhejafry:. Sheesh.
Anyone who's been following Sreesanth's career has the same opinion. Great bowler when he's mentally and physically ready but always inconsistent and constantly injured. Nothing's changed from Sreesanth. He's still the injury prone, inconsistent talent that he always was. I would love to see him prove me wrong but I believe he doesn't have it in him to be a main strike bowler for us.

Yuvi, Bhajji praised me for my knock: Mahmadullah Young Bangladesh batsman Mahmadullah Riad was a happy man on Sunday as his top score of unbeaten 96 on the opening day of the first cricket Test received kudos from the visiting Indian players. More...

Why they have to talk about everything in the media :senile:? Their player was called a "school boy" and he cried in the media. Now Yuvi & Bhaj praised him and he vomits that in the media. I'm really scared to see the future through the eyes of a Bangla player- 1. "Today I went to loo. I was done in 20 mins. This player told me my stomach was worse than a furnace. That was really bad. But I took it as a challenge and it motivated me and 2hrs later when I went to the loo again, I was done in 10 mins flat". :toilet: 2. "I was really excited today as I finished my doo-doo in 10 secs and a player told me, 'You drink milk faster than Dhoni and Sehwag. Keep it up'. I was really very happy". :mama:

Ermm Achilles it's actually your media that highlights these issues. At every press conference there are questions like these asked...like "how did you feel after getting your maiden 100?" and it's up to the media to write what they want. Obviously your media wants to portray Yuvi and Bhajji as role models hence the article otherwise most Bangladeshi papers didn't even say anything about this and in Bangla news as well this section was ignored. So it's your media who is obsessed about every mention of your players. Not taking the p*** out of you just informing you how the media works

very well played mahmadullah .. :two_thumbs_up: we indians need to realize that the bangla players are overawed by indian cricketers .. they look upto them .. they are hoping our players help them in some way .. they want to be like a dravid , sachin, dhoni etc .. i dont see anything wrong .. most of their young players idolise our players .. that is reason they felt bad when viru made a comment like that and fought brilliantly the first day .. yes we are #1 no one is doubting and we dont have to be arrogant like aussies to stay at #1 .. we can be humble and be #1 too .. but also agree bangla fans do go overboard and also started hating indians .. they should realize they are playing test cricket bcos of india .. not the eng, aus boards ..

Tendulkar: Runs don't come easy Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar said he never gets complacent and focusses hard irrespective of the might of his opponents. More... Tendulkar: Runs don't come easy Monday 25-January-2010 13:16 Sachin Tendulkar cracked his 45th Test century and Rahul Dravid his 29th as India tightened the screws on Bangladesh in the second and final Test on Monday. Tendulkar made 143 and Dravid 111 before to help India post a massive 459 for five in their first innings at stumps on the second day in reply to Bangladesh's modest total of 233. The visitors were 226 runs ahead with five wickets in hand. Dravid was struck on the helmet while avoiding a bouncer from paceman Shahadat Hossain, bowling with the second new ball. He hit 12 fours in his 188-ball knock. India's batting might was on view throughout the day as they scored 390 after resuming at 69 for no loss, with all of their top-order batsmen making sizeable contributions. Gautam Gambhir (68) and Virender Sehwag (56) put on 103 for the opening wicket before Tendulkar and Dravid consolidated their team's position with a 222-run stand for the third wicket. Gambhir also equalled West Indian Viv Richards's world record of scoring a half-century or more in 11 successive Tests. "I don't believe in counting centuries. I believe in playing and scoring," said Tendulkar. "Runs don't come easy. I am of the opinion that no attack can be underestimated. I always apply myself whatever the opposition. I think we have been able to get into a very good position." Tendulkar, who scored a century in the last Test, was caught by Imrul Kayes at midwicket off left-arm spinner Shakib Al Hasan. His 182-ball knock included one six and 13 fours. Shakib took his second wicket when he had Murali Vijay (30) caught by Mohammad Mahmudullah at mid-on, but India had already gained a big lead at that stage. It was a disappointing day for Bangladesh, who not only struggled to take wickets but also failed to make the most of the chances that came their way. "Missing catches is part of the game. It was tough for the bowlers as the wicket favoured batsmen, but our pacers bowled well," said Shahadat. "It was our plan to test them with bouncers. The wicket did not have much turn and that's why our spinners like Shakib did not get more wickets. The wicket has become uneven."
