Prakat Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 ^ You should meet me then when I'm buzzing. It's been a long time but when some one lights up I usually take a few drags and nowadays that's all it takes to make mellow.
mishra Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 The best party times are drunk party times - don't buy into people selling the crap that you can enjoy parties and life without drinking. :potstir: On the positive side, have not smoked for a month now. i belong to teetotaler family but when I was 6-7 year old Someone advised my dad that i should be given lil bit of whisky as i was too week for the winters. So my parents got some single malt whisky (it was about Rs 400 at the time) fed me for about two months one big spoon every night untill one middle of night when i woke up drunk. But fate has it, i immediately recognized "MY precious" as soonfreshers party begun in my first year of college. And yeah...... Now I can be away from it at max a month or so.... But i think giving up smoking is very difficult and requires real determination. I have been away from cigarette for over a year now.

Most importantly the person has to be willing to quit and willing to listen and try. Once I helped a friend quit smoking, some 9 years back - by just some motivational talk/discussion and couple of weeks of follow up. He hasn't smoked ever since (last time I checked) - of course that would not have been possible w/o his determination.
