Yes.. Class bowler according to Indian standards. Best in India currrently and one of the best overall. Hope he has more success. He has been our best bowler easily. Whatever wickets he got, he actually deserves more than that.

Ishant and Mishra were both picked when they both failed in last match and I am a bit surprised with this

He is out for atleast 4 months so little hope for him to be back for Australia series, he will be 33 soon and looking at his injury record we can't rely on him anymore, need to find new bowlers.

He can play for maximum 2 years and given that there are not many strike bowlers in India, he should get chance in important test matches and few ODIs. He should not play IPL and Champions League. Other bowlers can improve in these two years.

those 60 matches equivalent to one test match of bowling-64 overs---that is not a big deal..big deal is when injury occurs, he needs to give immediate attention to it and stop playing any match and have rehab for that.

He can retire from ODIs. Anyways he hardly plays any. As for not playing the IPL, I don't really know how feasible that is with all the corporate money going around. His fitness is pretty fickle so he can actually take the VVS' route.

But then he will always struggle to play international matches. IPL will be around April-May and India generally plays lot of matches from June-July.

Vibhash Bhai, mark my words Zaheer's career is over. Going forward he will only play IPL. I am almost sure that he can never gain test match fitness again. And I for one blame it to him playing IPL in 2011 season. He has truly wasted his talent because he was one bowler who could have actually gone on to become one of the left arm greats.
