I think at least everybody agrees that Sachin Tendulkar is the best batsman ever to have played ODI .. Don Bradman had never played ODI so dont know how well he might have been ODIs There are a lot of points in favor of Sachin and a few in favor of Bradman too. But as many told I also personally feel that it is nearly impossible to compare two players who have played in completely different eras with hardly any similarity. I would say both are no.1 in terms of overall best batsman to have graced the game though Sachin is undoubtedly the all time best to have played ODIs.

The topic has been done and dusted with the same old rehashed arguments. However, the way distance by which Bradman was head and shoulders above his peers is a phenomenon that has never been replicated - not only in cricket, but any sport. Now that is a fact, the rest are all opinions everyone is entitled to.

Do you actually think all of these guys believe what they say all the time? Almost all cricket authors have an agenda, which changes like color of the seasons. Its been long since I stopped paying attention to what these cricket 'gurus' say, coz its almost impossible to find an independent opinion that is also consistent and well-informed.

Anytime he uses the words "bouncers and Indians" in the same sentence he goes way way over the top to deride us.

Warney is an exception though :) Unlike his consistent line and length, even McGrath is inconsistent with his comments..one day he says "Sachin is THE best he ever bowled to" and when another reporter twists the question he would reply "Lara is THE most dangerous batsman" :( Warney consistent as usual :hail:

As is Boss the no.of Intl runs' date= the no.of shambars etc etc ... and all of that against two seperate generation of super mean , superfast speed merchants ... NOT one of them bowlers from DGB's time can lay claim to any sort of greatness - statistical or otherwise - other than having bowled to him. This is why there is simply no match for the great man :hail:
but..but he he didn't face them when they were at their SUPREME best :)

Its too difficult to compare players across different era's' date=' just get over it. Its one mans option, maybe its shared by [b']billions of others, but its opinion at the end of the day
