Chandan Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 Terrific stuff Vortex. I've read an article, not relating to news, after a long time on cricinfo. They had stooped to writing such rubbish that apart from news, I had given up on cricinfo. It was a superb article, as always.
SachDan Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 Congrats Balchanandar :two_thumbs_up: But seriously why isn't the likes of Sriram, dhondy, Swetabh giving it a go ?? :hmmm:
gaurav92 Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 ^ I agree.Sriram Shwetabh are great writers.Do you think i should give it a go as well :D.In case the subscription are few, i amy get a go in.Prolly i am being too optimistic here.
thevortex Posted February 25, 2010 Author Posted February 25, 2010 Thank you Chandan, Anakin, My Two Cents and SachDan. I am truly surprised at the silence of the big wigs at this achievement. I mean people such as Harsha, Roebuck, English etc.
The Outsider Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 Congrats, vortex! I am yet to read it, but glad that it was posted on ICF first! :D
Shane Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 Congrats vortex, keep em coming, but on ICF first. :D
Gunner_Mania Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 Thank you Chandan, Anakin, My Two Cents and SachDan. I am truly surprised at the silence of the big wigs at this achievement. I mean people such as Harsha, Roebuck, English etc. Since they are regular contributors to Cricinfo I don't think they realise how big an achievement it is to make it to the front pages of Cricinfo. J/K. Congratulations. Very well written, although must say I read it first at ICF. Hope to see more articles from you, especially on your favourite subject - Hawk-eye and UDRS:two_thumbs_up:
EnterTheVoid Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Got a lot of comments vortex, well done, I added my own to show my appreciation.
thevortex Posted February 26, 2010 Author Posted February 26, 2010 Thanks again everybody! The Outsider - I am interested in what you make of this article. Do read through when you get a chance and let me know. Gunner_Mania - I know I ought not to get so excited, but well, is dil ka kya kiya jaye? :) It is of course true, this is all commonplace for the established cricket writers like Bhogle et al. By the way, they have all come up with their articles today. I really liked Harsha's take on it. He equates landmarks to comfort stops in Tendulkar's long journey towards purity and joy. Wonderful. And yes, there have been many kind comments there at Cricinfo. I recognized quite a few of the ICF'ers there. To tell you the truth, my article was first published at my blog site then at another cricket forum of which I have been a member for the best part of 3-4 years and then at ICF. But thank you all for giving me the opportunity to post.
teacup Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Well done, Bala! Very well written and captured the emotions of millions of Indian fans fabulously. Keep it up!
Cricketics Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 TheVortex, Classic piece. Well written. Worth reading it. All praise for you mate.
Shane Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Seems like you got appreciated a lot more at HFV than over here, Nice, tell those videophile's about ICF. :D
thevortex Posted February 26, 2010 Author Posted February 26, 2010 Thank you teacup and Cricketics. Shane - this is one thing I like, a lot of networking between forums. Actually HFV has a lot of audiophiles as well as videophiles. As always there are people not falling into these categories as well. But the thing is I probably got the most praise here at ICF :)
thevortex Posted February 26, 2010 Author Posted February 26, 2010 Hifivision.com - an Indian AV forum (Audio/Video)
Temujin Khaghan Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 What is HFV? :hmmm: human foamy retrovirus...:hmmm:
