cowboysfan Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 sachin should definitely get it,just not now and definitely not for breaking the odi record.
Gunner_Mania Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 What no Mahatma Gandhi? He has been honoured with a bigger honor - Father of the Nation. This is a small award for Sachin Tendulkar. They should rename Bharat Ratna to Sachin Ratna. j/k It is India's highest civilian honor. Stop making fun of it.
yoda Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 I don't know why the reluctance to give it to sports persons. So far, IMO, Kapil deserved to get one. V. Anand when he retires, Dravid and SRT as well when they retire.
kabira Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Before SAchin, Kapil deserves one. WTF Rajiv Gandhi doing there? and WTF Tamilnadu chief minsters in that list. what did they do?
pappu_kanghi Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 He has been honoured with a bigger honor - Father of the Nation. It is India's highest civilian honor. Stop making fun of it. Go and give these lectures to someone else. Wow mods? I can show you 100 posts where people use STFU. Have you edited them yet?
coffee_rules Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 the awards were introduced after his death Then how did it Ambedkar, Vallabhai Patel and Abul Kalam Azad get it?
Roshanrocks Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 Sachin is already a 'Bharat Ratna': Bal Thackeray After brickbats, it is now bouquets for cricket maestro Sachin Tendulkar from Shiv Sena. Sachin's double-hundred against South Africa in Gwalior has not only silenced his critics, but clean bowled the Shiv Sena, which had taken on the iconic batsman over his "Mumbai for all" remark. "Hundred crore people of this country have already crowned Sachin as Bharat Ratna," Sena chief Bal Thackeray said in an editorial in party mouthpiece 'Saamana'. "Shivaji Maharaj used to vanquish Moghuls on battlefield. Similarly, Sachin is a warrior on cricket battlefield. Such warriors are born only in Maharashtra," Thackeray said. "Shivaji wielded the sword. Similarly, Sachin wields the bat," the editorial said. "Sachin does not need anyone's recommendation to be awarded Bharat Ratna. He is already one," it said. The Shiv Sena leadership had last year questioned Tendulkar's loyalty to Maharashtra following his Mumbai for all remark.
DomainK Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 The mere mention of this old man makes my blood boil.
The Dark Horse Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 huh? he is not Maratha Ratna? :cantstop: At last the old bat realised.
Roshanrocks Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 Ballu is suffering from short term memory loss..... he does not remember anything that happened a month before
Roshanrocks Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 Mereko peetney ke liye mereko dhoondna padega na.... ye shiv sena ke logonko tho sirf todfod karna aatha hai... dimaag lagane ka kaam aatha hotha tho ballu ki thodi na sunthei
Mr. Wicket Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 in b4 Thackeray retracts the 'Bharat Ratna' when SRT makes a comment about how he plays for all of India. F-cking asswipe.
azanian Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 I would like to give Thackery a free one way ticket to Afghanistan
Jersey #10 Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 Sachin's balla is like a magic wand. Thackeray wasn't getting tired of talking sh1t about Sachin a few weeks ago and look what he is saying now...
