don_corleone840 Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Only gilchrist is averaging more than ms dhoni in int test cricket. MSD is averaging around 43 in test cricket, which is best among all current wk batsman .he is also averaging 52 in odi with amazing strike rate of 90.i think he is best wk batsman now and can become best wk batsman of all time in coming years.
Serani Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Kumar Sangakkara was miles ahead of Dhoni when he kept.
vvvslaxman Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Kumar Sangakkara was miles ahead of Dhoni when he kept. Dhoni is light years ahead now of everybody else :winky:
Serani Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Dhoni is light years ahead now of everybody else :winky: Still bats like a drain.
Mr Eintstein Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 andy flower for tests. but yeah theres a good case for dhoni in ODIs.
SachDan Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Still bats like a drain. still No.1 in ODIs...:two_thumbs_up:
Serani Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 I would have to argue the best of all time is actually Geraint Jones.
Karan114 Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Still bats like a drain. Still has a higher Test and ODI batting average than the man in your avatar :two_thumbs_up:
Serani Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 yup' date=' his bat does leak a lotta runs.[/quote'] lol, I dont know what batting like a drain is but it must be bad because quite a few peeps have said it to me in club cricket, and with my batting it cant be a compliment.
flamy Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 lol' date=' I dont know what batting like a drain is but it must be bad because quite a few peeps have said it to me in club cricket, and with my batting it cant be a compliment.[/quote'] first time i heard it too, thot it must be a british thing :D
Serani Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 first time i heard it too' date=' thot it must be a british thing :D[/quote'] Yeh you get called quite a lot of things in club cricket, most probably made up. the WK that kept calling my batting drain like shouted "TOILET" after every shot that I played also. Didnt really know what to make of that.
Riley's Girl Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 Dhoni is light years ahead now of everybody else :listen_dawg:
achilles Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 MSD's a better batsman than a wicket-keeper. In Church's defence, he was both. I hope Bradman99 reads this and reframes his opinions :two_thumbs_up: And MSD is a legend in the making with the bat. His average :adore:
Lord Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 in ODI s theres no competition Dhoni is well ahead but in tests i think he just edges out Boucher.people refer to Dhoni's 40+ average with the bat but ignore that Boucher has 472 catches n 22 stumpings.u cant do that unless u r a damn good keeper.

Agreed. People tend to ignore Boucher's keeping record . Maybe because his batting average isn't that high & performances with the bat leave a more lasting impression than brilliant moments behind the stumps?
pappu_kanghi Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 In tests Sangakara is far ahead. In ODI's on current form its Dhoni. Watch this inning. Pure class. He got the bad decision from Rudi.
