The art of playing cricket like chess...

I made this for 18"x24" print. Please view full. New version: 2a0e16p.jpgOriginal here --click I am a fan of surreal art. In the piece above I am trying to convey that cricket is a mind game. Somewhere in a parallel universe, I fantasize about playing cricket like chess. The team takes the form of chess pieces and the umpire is a sand clock. Time is ticking...who will win? The black king (Tendu) is under "check" from the rook (McGrath). Fans are watching from the castle and cheering their team. The player in the right has a worried look......I wonder why. His opponent seems happy :winky:

what are the rules of cricket chess? Not made any rules yet...but there is one rule in chess when the pawn reaches the other side..then you can choose to promote it to a piece of your choice. So if Tendu is already out, then you can call him back...:cantstop:

No I do not. I am more of a collage/photo manipulation guy and use photoshop as medium.
Its a work of art' date=' many might not like it, but the details are amazing[/quote'] It looks better in full resolution. I do agree that this is not everyone's cup of tea.

Good work. But color combinations are not giving it a feeling of art. I have edited it. I hope you wont mind. fjp8gg.jpg
