Oh. Thats great man. A little club competing within the league' date=' as in? Is it something that goes unreported in the media?[/quote'] pretty much. Did I not mention a "little" league? the league that covers majority of the US east cost. Again yes, it goes unreported in the media. and again, I am not saying that w/e they were talking about is the mere truth but I am just putting a word out there. It's nothing new for people to talk about non-sensible things...it's part of life and I am sure that it happens to every one and their friend circles frequently unless if I am living in a whole new world of my own.

Thats awesome man. Nice to know cricket leagues have reached the east coast too. Hope it gets featured on ICC Cricket World soon :two_thumbs_up:. As for the second part, ofcourse you can't be held accountable for an opinion you don't hold. Its just that I feel shocked to hear that it now "seems" to have engulfed the IPL. Bribing the selectors for Team India to get through during a domestic season is quite common.

hey, I am not even saying that w/e they were saying was right. What I believe is that Selectors might be looking at the domestic performances over the BS IPL performances for national selection. While saying that, I am not even sure how well Chawla has done in domestic games.

^Chawla has been ok in Ranjis nothing spectacular but his stats were not bad. He has worked on his leggie and has a good googly and can bat. THink hes got the potential to be a good spinner for us Still an unfair decision on Mish and Ojh who have been pretty decent in the IPL and ODI cricket (in Ojhas case esp). Bowling is the area where we need the selectors to show a clear vision- our backup spinner and the pace attack. At least in the latters case theyve been consistent, no clue abt the spinner really though

I am happy to see another purple cap owner from the IPL not in the Indian team. Last time we went to the t20 WC with the IPL's purple cup winner, we crashed out in the 2nd round. BTW just noticed that Chawla is yet to play an ODI at home!

Pragyan showing yet again vs CSK why he should have been in the squad
Yep. I'm loving the persistent rap on the knuckles and consistent pwnage of the selectors by Pragyan, Robbie, Manish, Virat & Murali Karthik. The icing on the cake would be India going out of the WT20 in Round 1 itself. That should serve the selectors right :yay:

Add Irfan to the queue.

becuase his father is chairman of the board. oh wait thats the folks across the border. :cantstop:
I think that playing in Pardes helped him. As for the second part, agreed :hysterical:

His bowling is improving at a slow pace. And he's a bowling allrounder. But yes, he does have the reputation to fire when the chips are down. So he's there in my list.

If this is what you wish for the national side, then sorry to say its quite a sad wish. BTW, if your wish does come true, then all I will say is if an 11 of Sehwag, Gambhir, Yuvi, Raina, Dhoni, Yusuf, Jadeja, Bhajji, Zak, PK, Nehra/Vinay crashes out in the 1st round, then the ones you mentioned wouldn't help us either. BTW 2 out of the 5 you named have not found a place in their IPL 11s in the last 2-3 matches.

He preaches Pessimism for living, don't take him too seriously. On other note, even though Chawla is a bad selection, he seems to be getting into some sort of form off late. He has improved greatly in his last 2 matches. He bowled so well in the last macth that Sangakara mentioned that it was a masterclass in leg-spin. Hope he can bring this particular form into WC. Now that nothing can be sone about the squad selection, let's be positive that it does a little good at least.

so both Ojha and Mishra got purple caps and Carribean pitches are very similar to subcontinent pitches then why is Chawla selected over them?

He can bat too,,if he carries his bowling form into the WC we will have a ridiculously long batting

He can bat too' date=',if he carries his bowling form into the WC we will have a ridiculously long batting[/quote'] I think our batsmen are capable of batting for 20 overs and we won't need Chawla there. We could have done well with either Mishra or Ojha who are the wicket takers.
