Crookbond Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Watched Abraham Lincoln, the vampire hunter. I have no idea why people make such average movies. Meaningless, bad story, bad screen play, bad acting, bad everything, except some of the action scenes. These vampire stories these days are just sh!t. First we see Veg vs Non-Veg vampires in Twilight and now this stupid BS.

Most vampire films are BS. They could make it interesting if they wanted. For example, Let the Right One In. What a brilliant vampire movie!!

But they can be enjoyable. I understand the next installment of Resident Evil is due soon?

Texy Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 Awesome reviews trickling in for DKR ....looks like Nolan does it again! Saw Gangs of Wasseypur part 1 and I absolutely loved it! It was tad bit long but love the way the story was narrated and smooth transition between time periods. That scene with Faisal Khan fantasizing wearing a Ray-Ban and flirting with that chick...absolutely hilarious! There are several moments of brilliance through out the film and the direction is top notch! 8.5/10 from me ....one word -- brilliant! and can't wait for Part II
deathmonger Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 The Dark Knight Rises. Great. 9/10. It's not as good as The Dark Knight. It's still very much a "superhero" movie whereas The Dark Knight aspired to be more than one. It's like a far better version of Batman Begins. ADVICE: Watch Batman Begins before you watch this. It's very connected. Won't spoil it further. P.S.:Amazed by the craze. Here in Delhi all seats are booked everywhere. I just got a seat in Priya as it is huge. Huge lines at the ticket counters plus huge lines at entry. Never seen anything like this before. Heck they even put subtitles as even the non Hollywood watching person is going to see it. Is this what it's like at the first day shows of Dabanng, Ready etc?

II promises to be as much fun. :yay:
EnterTheVoid Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 The Dark Knight Rises (again) ; That's twice in two days now.
DomainK Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 Watched Cocktail and yes, I would give it about 6/10. A very distinct Imtiaz Ali impression, especially in the second half. And yes, Deepika's best performance yet, though she needs to work harder, especially on her dialogue delivery, especially while speaking English. But she steals the show with Diana Penty not so effective in her acting. Both Saif and Diana totally overshadow Diana. Her character was very close to the character Aisha Takia played in Socha Na Tha, but she somewhere failed to deliver the charm Aisha so easily delivered in SNT.
StriKe Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 TDKR is just epic ! Fans came with batman t-shirts and masks. Better than TDK movie. Nolan did a great job again :yay:

SLICKR392 Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 TDKR :D Was epic. Nolan changed the actual Batman story but his one was amazing aswell :D
suraj Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 TDKR :D Was epic. Nolan changed the actual Batman story but his one was amazing aswell :D and now this movie will be morbidly associated with the killings by a psycho in Colarado so sad :(( I don't even feel like going to theater to watch this anymore
zombiePotato Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 The Joker took The Dark Knight to an unreachable level, So for me TDK> TDKR Having said that TDKR is still awesome...Chris Nolan's direction+Hans Zimmer's background score= EPIC WIN. will have to watch it again next week. There was a crying baby somewhere behind my seat...ruined it! stupid parents :hitler:
