An epic saga spanning over several centuries, directed by Wachowski brothers & Tom Tykwer. Each actor plays multiple characters. Halle Berry appears in a red saree as an 'Indian party guest' Running time: 2 hr 44 mins The blending of so many genres into one larger whole is remarkable. There are 6 separate timelines that switch every other scene. You have to pay attention to the smallest of details in almost every scene. It gets confusing but makes sense in the end as it all comes together. This is NOT just any other movie but a masterpiece and will probably be seen in the future as other epic movies like Clockwork Orange & Shawshank Redemption. The continuity through each scene is remarkable as it transcends from Victoria era to Post apocalyptic. If you thought Avatar was GRAND...wait till you see this movie! Not sure how they filmed this as the novel itself was extremely difficult to manage. I had to have cliff notes to keep up with the terms. Tom Hanks & Halle Berry's Oscar winning role along with terrific performance by Hugo Weaving(Matrix, V for Vendetta), Hugh Grant & Doona Bae(the Korean actress from 'The Host' & 'Sympathy Mr. Vengeance' ) 10/10 The level of film making and the sheer intellectuality in writing as well as performance alone makes it a contender to win every single movie awards out there! HIGHLY recommended!

Precambrian Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 watched Prometheus. Didn't have any expectations at all following all the negative reviews, and probably that's why I liked it. Yes, it has a helluva lot of flaws, but I liked the primary concept of facing our makers. But from then it went steadily downhill. Still wouldnt begrudge the 1.45 hrs spent on this. Although I must add, Aliens vs Predators > this.

HIGHLY recommended! Interesting, its got mixed reviews from critics. I loved the book when I read it a few years ago now. Do want to watch it when its out in the UK
