DomainK Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani just saw it. What an awful film. One of the worst and most boring indian film I have ever seen. Not even a time pass just so boring and dreadful. I see a lot of indian films and many are mediocre but this just the most boring thing I have watched in years. Disgraceful film. Songs are good thats it. How is this thing making money, shocking Did you find it odd that Deepika was wearing such short clothes in a traditional Indian marriage function?
Shane Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Goodfellas (1990) Brilliant movie! Can't believe Al Pacino turned down the offer to play the character 'Jimmy Conway'. De Niro was superb and so was Joe Pesci. Will be watching a few more crime movies this weekend, Casino, A Bronx Tale and Donnie Brasco. Suggestions on this genre of films is welcomed :D

CSK Fan Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Did you find it odd that Deepika was wearing such short clothes in a traditional Indian marriage function? No. Have seen that personally in couple of marriages. May I ask if you are settled in India or how long since you have been?

DomainK Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 No. Have seen that personally in couple of marriages. May I ask if you are settled in India or how long since you have been? I am settled in India and have attended quite a few high profile traditional marriages, Deepika's tube is the shortest I have ever seen in a traditional marriage.
CSK Fan Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 I am settled in India and have attended quite a few high profile traditional marriages' date=' Deepika's tube is the shortest I have ever seen in a traditional marriage.[/quote'] Not seen the movie so cant comment specifically on that
DomainK Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Not seen the movie so cant comment specifically on that Well, she was wearing an extremely tiny tube and at some point when she was running, her breasts were threatening to break free any moment.
hhunaeh Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Well' date=' she was wearing an extremely tiny tube and at some point when she was running, her breasts were threatening to break free any moment.[/quote'] Why are you trying to find reason in a hindi movie? And doesn't she wear the same kind of clothes in all her movies? You should be surprised if she wears something else.
King Tendulkar Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Did you find it odd that Deepika was wearing such short clothes in a traditional Indian marriage function? Yes But I found it more odd that they had climbed to the summit of a snow filled mountain range in freezing conditions. And she was wearing a mini skirt with tights!

Not even a time pass just so boring and dreadful. I see a lot of indian films and many are mediocre but this just the most boring thing I have watched in years. Disgraceful film. Songs are good thats it. How is this thing making money, shocking This movie is much better than the awful Barfi. There were some senisble lines. Nobody was acting crazy like Anushka Sharma. Although everybody was preachy, what was so bad about the movie? It's much better than sitting through some Salman Khan/Akshay Kumar bashing 50 goons flying high in the sky. Also, better than any YashChopra Mushy romance. I would give 2.95/5. Clothes were skimpier, but that's what most movies including Hollywood goes around wearing.

G_B_ Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Dont forget Reservoir Dogs. Even though not an out and out mob movie it is about crime. The other movie i would recommend in that genre which goes under the radar are the TV home movies (A) Gotti-1995 charting the rise and fall of John Gotti (a young paulie walnuts can be seen) (B) Witness to the Mob- charting the rise and fall of Sammy Gravanno (you can see a young Christopher Moltesanti in it) . Both of these are on youtube. Which leads me to an interesting observation. Sopranos features a lot of the Goodfellas cast.
SLICKR392 Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Serpico Carlito's way Once upon a time in Mexico Heat Heat was brilliant. :nice: Dog Day Afternoon Dick Tracey is an other mob movie.
Sachin=GOD Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Heat was brilliant. :nice: Dog Day Afternoon Dick Tracey is an other mob movie. :agree: scenes with Pacino and DeNiro together were brilliant.
SLICKR392 Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 :agree: scenes with Pacino and DeNiro together were brilliant. Oh that was one of the best. Al to Nero "But I'll tell ya, if it's between you, and some boor b***ard who's wife your goin to turn into a widow; brother, you are goin down." :two_thumbs_up:
G_B_ Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 :agree: scenes with Pacino and DeNiro together were brilliant. no no Righteous kill was much better :winky: Is it just me or do you guys also laugh at movies where the irish mob are the antagonists?
