PaiN_KiLLeR Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 1838 Guiana the Arrival. Now I know where the Chanderpauls and Kallicharans come from. Is that the name of a movie? Can't locate it on IMDB. If it is about the arrival of Indian labourers in WI then I'm definitely interested in watching it.
punjabi_khota Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 I will ALWAYS be shocked if someone says that an Aamir Khan movie is 'crap' coz a) That guy never chooses crap scripts.. Look at his recent movies( Lagaan, Dil Chahta hain, Mangal Pandey, Rang De Basanti,Tare Zameen Par)... All so varied and different scripts. So, bottomline, he never chooses to do crap movies. b) The guy's one of the most committed actors. I recently saw the video about the making of Lagaan and the kind of work and sweat that the film's unit put into making that film was mind-boggling. So, if I am going to spend 150 rs/$12 for an Aamir Khan movie, I will always know its going to be money well spent. Mela. Mann.

Desi Cartman Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 is lost really that good ? I usually dont watch programs like lost ... I prefer comedy or movies as there are way too many advertisements on free to air. If lost is really that good then I can get the dvd Please suggest

Aamir himself has said that Ghajini is not meant to make sense but anyway the script isnt that bad, its not in the league of RDB, TZM, Omkara, Yuva etc but its still good. Plus for some unknown he decided to do blimming Fanaa, now thats a **** film with a crappy script.
Rajiv Posted January 3, 2009 Author Posted January 3, 2009 Sriram, your comments come after his success and persona, Aamir has always been like a Progressive Jackpot machine. You think the beginning was QSQT? ( it was a great success mainly due to the direction ) His first official mistake was "Raakh" ( 1989 - times when we played gully cricket on streets of pali hill ) ), he admitted it but surprisingly the movie was actually very good, his 2nd official fark up was Aatank hi Aatank IMO ( a movie I would say before its time, I though i was brilliant ) - his sisters also have a big say in his movie picking, he is moody too and likes perfection to his liking

The Outsider Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Did you like it? How different it is from the Hindi version? Yeah, liked Memento. It's story is pretty different from the Hindi version. One can genuinely say the Hindi version is inspired by Memento rather than Mahesh Bhatt's "inspired", though it doesn't make Ghajini any less crap.
