Yuvraj hit an unbeaten 23 off 22 balls but more than the runs he scored, Yuvraj was happy that his injured wrist held good in the game. "I am getting much stronger now on the wrist and am ready for action," said Yuvraj. The southpaw said at one point in time, he had decided to go for a surgery but later dropped the idea, as he was keen on playing the Twenty20 World Cup. "If I had to undergo surgery it would have taken me a lot more time to recover. Definitely, I would have been out for a long time. I had been in and out for a while from the finger injury and was desperate to play," Yuvraj said. "The physios and the specialist in Australia were okay with me to play from the first game of the IPL," he added. The 28-year-old middle-order batsman said it is always difficult to come back from injury. "Every time you come back from an injury you will take some time to strengthen it. When I came back from my knee injury, I struggled for the first few months. It is just that you need to be careful, make yourself stronger, be careful when to rest yourself and when not to play," he said. Yuvraj was out of the squad for sometime after he injured his wrist during the second Test against Bangladesh in January and though he played in IPL III, he was a big disappointment as he struggled with form. The left-hander's commitment towards the game was also questioned during that phase and Yuvraj said the last six months had been the most frustrating moments in his career. "The last six months was really bad. I was playing really well against Sri Lanka and I got injured in the ICC Champions Trophy. It took me a long time to get back," Yuvraj said. "Then again in Sri Lanka I played well in the Test matches and had a good T20 game and broke my finger. It is very hard to get injured, get back into the groove and start playing well and then get injured again. It gets really frustrating. "The worst was the wrist injury. It is my bottom hand. And that is where I generate most of my power while hitting in this format of the game. Hopefully, I can get better in this tournament," he added. Yuvraj said he needed to be more consistent with the bat. "Definitely consistency is important. I just need to take the confidence from the last ten years of my career and do better. I believe that when I get going I always put my team in winning positions. "But you can't win the game if all the eleven players are not performing together. You can contribute towards a winning foundation but it is the performance of all the players which matter at the end of the day," he said.

He needs to change his advisors!! Skipping the knee surgery in 2006 has nearly made him immobile and now this injured wrist will ensure his career ends prematurely. In fact he should have gone for all the neceassary surgeries immediately after he was ruled out of the SA series in Jan end. Assuming he would have been out for 5-6 months, he could have been fit in time for the ODI series vs Australia in October. If he wants to play for another 7-8 years, needs to go for a knee surgery and if possible go for the wirst surgeyr as well even if it means being out of the game for 6-9 months. A fitter and stronger Yuvraj wil walk into Team India ahead of any other youngster, so he needs to shed the fear of losing his spot if he goes through the surgery. The choice is all Yuvi's- does he want to achieve short term goals or look at a long and succesfull career

I think he has not seen Yuvi's 119 meter wristy flicked six against Brett Lee in 2007 T20 WC which was the biggest six in that torny and tht 6 jst changed the game for India

Bhai mere, yuvi doesnt pay my bills so I can't be his blind worshipper...I always said he sucks at ipl and he sucked thru out the ipl..I defended him then and said he will shine in international t20s and he is doing fine right now...I guess I use my brain while following yuvi and you use your heart and other organs while following yuvi lol no offence intended.
