Isn't this really exciting? :woot: We have T20s, Super Overs, and now 5 over matches! Bring it on! This new brand of cricket is going to bring out new innovations, strategies, and techniques and the game of cricket can only get better and improve due to it. Don't worry about the old farts resisting change. A Five5 game can be completed within an hour and gives cricket a good chance to qualify at the global stage as an Olympic sport. Moreover, there can be strategic time outs introduced into it to earn more revenue which can used to develop the game at grassroot level and this can only be beneficial for test matches. It will also mean more cowlashers :woot:

T20 wrold cup duckworth-lewis How nice :wall: Is this supposed to be a "WORLD CUP"??? They are just making a joke out of a tournament called "WORLD CUP". It's supposed to be a legendary tournament between different countries from the world but guess what? this **** has nothing to offer this time around...

Hope this doesn't happen to us when we play any of the team.
it can easily happen to us.. ICC needs to look into this..

The Principles of D/L apply to TOntee Tontee just as well as it does in 50 50 the run rate charts probably have a lower sample and therefore leading to *****y calculations but for odis this is not the case

The idea in a tontee tontee match would be to give lesser weightage to wickets and more to overs therby having chasing teams to really up the rate of scoring to meet a par score but i am sure they have thought of all that already :headshake::headshake:

Though I have been one of the biggest supporter of T20 and IPL but the overdose of this format is getting to my nerves somewhat. It is ok at IPL and domestic level but I for one is fed up of this at intl level. I agree that 20 overs and especially 5 overs curtailed matches is no way based on talent. It is tukka cricket at its most nothing else.

Yup. Who has time to sit through three hours of 20-20 ?

Rather than five over matches, I think they should make an over 3 balls long. That way we can have the same number of balls as a Phive Phive match, but then we can see 10 over games; twice as many overs to fit in strategy breaks and advertising. All of this will only be good for the game and help bring more money in!

Are yaaro, Kirti Azad copy maar diya ekdum. It was a joke by Rahu Shrivastava (the Indian comic), Kirti must have listened to it and made it his own on NDTV. Bastard saala....
Watch from 4:08 Seriously, 6 over innings is a joke. There has got to be better way.
