Freedom Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 I think he means that Dhoni is a defensive captain. Giving priority to stopping runs rather than taking wickets. You are reiterating my point. When does a captain get defensive? Answer is when you have crap bowling you cant do jack even against a team like WI. Period
amar1212 Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 India sucks in all of the major tournaments....bunch of overhyped losers lol
amar1212 Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 They are the ppl who schedule a 2 month IPL just 5 days before T20 World cups. Do you really expect players to perform at intl level after participating in a gruelling 2 month tourney which finishes less than a week before the T20 cup? Players will go where money is but I expect BCCI as custodians of indian cricket to ensure it gives us the best possible chance to perform. Do you think BCCI has done so? aren't they suppose to perform even batter after all of that match practice??
hitman1980 Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 Fast bowlers?? man atleast produce a single worthy spinner .. who can take wickets and a team can be rest assured of his 4 overs .. R ojha was one but they never selected him .. Atleast give some guys chances rather going for old horses ... Did bhajji got any wicket in this t20 wc?
Manny_Pacquiao Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 its ok guys whats the shock. india is getting what they deserve. last two years they showed up fatigued from ipl with some key players missing, and they just aren't playing well enough to win matches. thats how it is. winning or losing in t20 doesnt change india's status in test or odi cricket. too much overreaction
vvvslaxman Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 India sucks in all of the major tournaments....bunch of overhyped losers lol Every team sucks except Australia. What is your point loser.
thevortex Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Dhoni has always been a defensive captain! The problem with most of the Indian media and supporters is that they come out with this only when India lose. If he is defensive and India win, nothing is ever said about this and/or other mistakes. I hope the coach is not that way. If he is, then God help us!
TheWall Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 The way Aussies r thrashing everyone - Pak must be wishing that they had lost all the super 8 match and joined India on their flight :hysterical: The semis b/w Pak n Aus will be a net practice for the Aussies.
Jai Ho Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 The way Aussies r thrashing everyone - Pak must be wishing that they had lost all the super 8 match and joined India on their flight :hysterical: The semis b/w Pak n Aus will be a net practice for the Aussies. i for one will not be surprised if those lucky ****ers end up winning second world cup.
rkt.india Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Considering the reactions for a 50 over world cup exit ' date=' the reaction for T20 cup exit is mild from fans.[/quote'] they are used to now:winky:
thevortex Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 There is one other thing that I wanted to mention. In the post match ceremony there was Harsha Bhogle grilling Dhoni and then moving onto Sangakkara very keen to know if the real target was to eliminate India by getting to 140 odd or to win the game outright. He got the response from Sangakkara that the target at the end was to get past the 140 odd target but then once they got that they set their sights on winning the game. Seemingly since he did not get anything exciting out of the captain he offered the same question to Angelo Mathews. Now this may not sound like anything bad to most people out there. But what he was essentially doing was fishing for something that could be made slightly sensational. He was no more the impartial commentator. It could be argued that he was not that for a long time. But this to me was not on.
SJS50 Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Reactions post dismal show by the Indian team Read THIS
Temujin Khaghan Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 this thread will break all the records put up by the movies/tharki and the never ending threads. epic.
achilles Posted May 12, 2010 Author Posted May 12, 2010 I don't have words to describe our fantastic performances. I am speechless. And we got what we deserved. All good then' date=' Dhoni can continue to pass himself off as a good player.[/quote'] Was a seriously selfish innings - the kind Kallis would have been proud of. Who cares about the team's cause when you can be not out and artifically boost your average. I think I now know why the Aussies, the Poms and the English don't rate him as a high as a batsman as we do. His selfish, average increasing innings throughout all the WT20 editions from 2007 to 2010 are the biggest proof.
achilles Posted May 12, 2010 Author Posted May 12, 2010 Read THIS Brilliant. :hatsoff: this thread will break all the records put up by the movies/tharki and the never ending threads. epic. Thank you.:--D
Mr. Wicket Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 this thread will break all the records put up by the movies/tharki and the never ending threads. Rubbish. You underestimate the spamming paavaarz of CricketGirl, Gunner and Marilize. :D The sort of reactions we see these days when India fails without the old guard of Tendulkar, Dravid, Gangluddin, Laxman and Sehwag is a bad sign of what lies ahead when more of them retire. There is still nobody to replace Ganguly (and despite his much-talked up faults against the short ball, he could handle these sorts of barrages better than a lot of this current lineup), and nobody who seems like coming remotely close to filling the shoes of the others. (Anand, new sporting hero for the future? )

Agreed. Dada is such a legend  Gangluddin = Dada + Azhar?
Texy Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Dhoni's batting was very disappointing....he couldn't even hit a boundary....pathetic to say the least as Ravi Shastri said on air
