I think a key point that everyone is forgetting here is that most of the players get picked in the T20 and ODI squad after good performances in the IPL. After being exposed for 2 years straight' date=' [b']I doubt the credibility of the IPL on Indian pitches, being a right reflection of our talent.
Look who is talking. :hehe: But IPL(Modi) is the best thing ever happened to India. :dontknow:

IPL is definitely not the reason why we struggle against bouncers. We are missing the big picture here. Even in IPL entire Rajasthan royals team was given a work over by Steyn & Co at chinnaswamy stadium.

So' date=' what happens to these so called world class bowlers when they play against other teams. The ball gets stuck to their palm???:hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:[/quote'] Which bowler(s) are you talking about? Jerome Taylor? Well, he has always been a fantastic bowler. Against all the teams. And Roach unsettled, with bounce and pace, a batsman no lesser than Ricky Ponting.

Jinxing the short ball In today's match VS Sri Lanka, the short ball is going to take lots of wicket. in fatc it will take all ten Indian wickets. Indian batsmen will fall like flies against teh short ball and the team will be all out in less than 100 runs!

just get jayawardena's wicket and hope the other batsmen continue their form, easier said than done but as usual all the sri lankan batsmen will coem in to incredible form and all the bowlers will bowl atom bombs :D and anyway all this will be wasted, since West Indies are going to destroy the aussies :smoke:

1. Yes, T20 cricket is a joke and can't be taken seriously, BUT 2. If these young players are in so much trouble against short deliveries then it DOES pose a problem in a few years when SRT/Dravid/Lax etc are retired. If they are going to be replaced by some of these players or at least will be in the squad then it won't just be the Indian T20 team that is embaressed in front of the whole world but the test team as well by any old bowler who can bowl a little fast and bowl bouncers. THAT'S THE PROBLEM. 3. It's still not too late. If the BCCI had any sense then they would genuinely encourage and promote fast, bouncy pitches in India from the grass roots level. If we can get some fast bouncy tracks for the IPL in India then why the hell not for domestic cricket and home series?

Key point. If they did, the truth is, they're blinded by money, nothing else seems to matter
