f2000560 Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 where were the people who were arguing in favour of murali vijay after he hit a hundred on the flattest pitch in the world?.now even his test credentials will be called into question because of his perceived problems against the short ball.there was absolutely reason for his selection. Cheeka has been a mega failure as a selector.he lost us a test match against the saffers and the squad for the world cup was completely screwed up.time to let him go . the test match against saffers i agree but i still think it wasa good call to take vijay .. of you have hindsight but its not like the others smoked the competition... plus this is first (ok after one odi ) limited over tourney cut some slack i think we have been carrying other deadweight for far longer periods. and seriously who else would have taken .. its not like other performing batsmen in the ipl scored their runs in perth, kingsmead and barbados and other fast bonncy fast bowler havens while vijay did it in chennai.
achilles Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Zandu balm.... the first thing that came to my mind when I read the title in the index.
achilles Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Nohit officially redeemed himself. He got one shot at redemption and he did a darn good job. Cheers :cheer:
ViruRulez Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 I would blame Cheeka too .. we need a new and a sensible chief selector now ... I have never understood his musical chair with Ojha, Mishra and now Chawla .. he selects the second spinner as if we are not worried about the second spinner at all and can just try out a new one in each and every tournament

Sachinism Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 India love the musical chairs game, how often has a player been selected as part of a tour, not got a game and then replaced by someone else who wasn't doing anything in that time to improve their selection chances. Its a joke, its like the names are picked out of a hat or something
