Mujhe to yaad hi nahin hai(lived there for a few years) Texas statutorily allows the Texas Department of Transportation to post 75 mph (120 km/h) speed limits in counties with average populations of fewer than 15 people per square mile. The same statute also allows 80 mph (130 km/h) speed limits on I-10 and I-20 in certain rural west Texas counties with low population density.

That part of Texas is close to New Mexico. About a couple of hours if that from NM. Sparse population and little traffic.

Lurker Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 Re: Most enjoyable thing in life They are trying to pass a law for few new roads to have 85 marenge :hic: Actually it may not be a bad idea. I remember driving to Las Vegas from Houston a couple of times. The trip was lengthy but greatly memorable. I would pesonally recommend it to anyone who prefers seeing a bit of country to flying from airport to airport. Anyway, the best part of the journey was almost always the Western part of Texas and NM. You could zip by 80-90. No cops for miles, hell no houses for many a miles. I am not sure if all the cars would cope with it though. A lot of cars start vibrating really badly at 80 mph plus.

Dhondy Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 Re: Most enjoyable thing in life The last mile of a 5 mile run. The second wind is firmly in place, sweat pouring off the face, legs don't feel tired any more, you can see the finish and wanna go faster, but just hold yourself back for the explosive finish. The minutes just melt away, you no longer look at the clock, heart rate steady at 150, heat steams off your ears. The final manic sprint over the last 400 yards, and you are home. You kept the discipline, didn't skimp on the routine. The shower and deep, dreamless sleep awaits.
