The horrific injury has left him in critical condition: "[The horn] went though the tongue and penetrated the roof of the mouth, fracturing the jawbone," one of the medics who worked on Aparicio told AFP news in Madrid. [uPDATE: After two operations, it appears leading surgeon Maximo Garcia Pedros has saved Aparicio's life. The bull, however, was quickly killed by other matadors.] The incident took place during the Festival of Saint Isidro, considered to be the most important event in the bullfighting calendar, at the Plaza de Toros las Ventas bullring, which can seat up to 24,000 people. Anyway, I wanted to comment on this: I dont have an iota of sympathy for these bozos .... these guys are an insult to the human species and the concept of evolution. You behave like beasts you should be prepared to be treated like beasts. Well done the beast. And those that participate in this sport, if this is only breadwinner for the families ?

And its not like there is severe shortage of professions this day and age to make a living. This event is an excuse to indulge in beastility and they absolutely deserve what they get. Principle of natural justice. ++ Not humans. The whole thing is sickening. :((

The story it reminds me of : the bull who's name was Murcielago. It survived 28 effing sword strokes and fought with such passion, the matador actually spared its life. Lamborghini names many of its models on bullfighting related terms and the outgoing premier supercar hence carries the same name. Polar bears (Arctic), whales (Japan), dolphins (Norway), tigers (China), elephants (Africa/India) and many other species are rare or already extinct because of human practices that will not change with time. I mean, u need to bloody kill a number of elephants (a creature so intelligent, it has some sort of rituals for those passed away) so that u can make ur piano feel just like those 'old' times ?

Which simply proves we're worse as a species. if these guys have balls..why don't they wear a red suit and fight the bull..I love it when they get gored :two_thumbs_up: Bulls r color blind as far as i knew.

Yes, they are color blind, but as far as I know, the frequency of the color red (and certain other colors) gets on their nerves and makes them charge.
