Also not sure why he persists on bowling bouncers. Has no surprise element. Difficult to judge him on flat track but yeah he does have some things to build on.

His domestic performances in the longer format are something to keep an eye on too. He may move the red ball slightly better than the white ball and his ability to bowl long spells is something useful.

The advantage is that it is a different action than what batsmen generally come up against. The disadvantage is that the risk of injury is greater. My jump is higher, but however high you rise, if you want to bowl the ball, you have to land. And because I land from higher, the impact on my body is more. So you need more power in the legs and need to exercise more. You need to strengthen your hamstring, your glutes, all your leg muscles. Normally a fast bowler lands with an impact that is three times his body weight, but I land with an impact that is four times my weight. You need to keep your lower body perfect, otherwise for bowlers who jump like me, there can be problems.
MCcricket Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 Dinda when he came into the picture was bowling close to 140 and getting the ball so seam and bounce, now he bowls at 132 k, no movement or bounce , at his height and the way he bowls that is cannon fodder, he will not cut it in international cricket, he is mediocre.
saneindian Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 BUMP Have never ever heard two analyst going gaga over a young Indian pacer like Sanjay manjrekar and Ganguly have been doing for Dinda today. Ganguly as we know is a huge Dinda fan and he once again said Dinda can be a good test bowler and is a very different bowler when he bowls full. Kept saying now is the time to play Dinda in a couple of tests to see what he can do. Manjrekar then narrated a discussion he had with Lalchand Rajput the A team coach for the WI tour and asked him about the players who impressed him. Rajput's response was Pujara and Dinda, two guys ready to play tests for India. This when Dinda didn't pick too many wickets on that tour.
