In reality if there are two batsmen(of which one is a regular batsman and another is a bowler), getting 1 of the wickets is enough to win the match. But if the last man has a life, and if he happens to be a batsman then it'll be all the more difficult to get him out, in the end he may win the match for his team single handedly. So, for the sake of creating interest and drama, 10 wickets is considered all out.

I meant there will be only 1 batsman=odd=OUT. Now dont tell me he can have a runner:winky:
Doesn't have to. He can run all by himself. In which case the fielding team must break the stumps that he is running towards to get him out.

I meant if he has a runner there will be 2 batsmen=even=not out. It does not count as 2 batsmen. So out.
