Saturday 29th May 2010 Asia Cup squad to be picked on June 7 The Indian squad for next month's Asia Cup in Sri Lanka will be picked in Delhi on June 7, BCCI sources said on Saturday. "The team would be selected in Delhi on June 7," said Cricket Board sources. The national selection panel, headed by Krishnamachari Srikkanth, is expected to name a full squad after giving a break to several senior players for the ongoing tri-series in Sri Lanka. The four-nation tournament is to be held in Dumbulla with hosts Sri Lanka clashing with Pakistan in the opening tie on June 15. The final is to be held on June 24 with a reserve day fixed for June 25. Schedule: June 15: Sri Lanka vs Pakistan June 16: India vs Bangladesh June 17: Reserve day June 18: Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh June 19: Pakistan vs India June 20: Reserve day June 21: Pakistan vs Bangladesh June 22: India vs Sri Lanka June 23: Reserve day June 24: Final June 25: Reserve day.

someone Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 I just hope one player does not play namely Yousuf Pathan. He really has looked out of sorts and is not at all useful batting low in our current squad
diegovegaz Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 sachin sehwag gambhir kohli raina dhoni praveen bhajji vinay nehra ojha would definately want to have uthappa as a finisher kohli would have to miss out in that case, pushing raina n dhoni up the order 5 genuine bowlers is the key, batsmen should bat with responsibility

Mahi 6. Raina 7. Kohli 8. Harbhajan 9. P Kumar 10.Zaheer 11. Ojha Rest of the players: 12. Robin Uthappa 13. Ramesh Powar ( forget about his fitness, i love his loopy flighted attacking bowling) 14. Rohit Sharma 15. Ishant sharma/ RP/ Nehra/Jaydev Unadkat 16. IRFAN PATHAN
