S.Bond Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 I think MS Dhoni is going to loose his number 1 ranking because he is missing this series. As you loose 1/2 % of your rankings when you miss a match for your country, Dhoni's rankings will come down to about 800, depend if India go to the final or not. So he will defenitly go under Mike Hussey and probably under AB De Villiers too.

bhajji Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 I don't think that dhoni may ever lose his no. 1 position. He may be replaced by any other Indian cricket player for Indian captainship but his position will remain intact among the masses.
saneindian Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 ABDV and Amla will be no 1 and 2. What a series they are having.

Sachinism Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Does Dhoni lose points if India are playing and he's not?
Karan114 Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 ^ Yep, you lose points if you miss games for whatever reason
Sachinism Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 I might be wrong, but I think I remember seeing MoYo top the rankings after returning from a lengthy ban/leave/recall/ban
