CSK Fan Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 Nobody in Brazil knows about Sachin or Umar Akmal while same cannot be said about Maradona or Pele in India or Pakistan. Umar Akmal in the same line as Sachin, Pele and Maradona? :hysterical::hysterical: BTW, I wouldnt be surprised if people DO know Sachin in Brazil

zen Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 I love cricket! It's my #1 sport :--D But what I like about sports like football is that every player (unless substituted, injured, ....) is in the game for the entire duration of the game. In cricket, if a couple of main batsmen get out, the game could be as good as over :P

Manny_Pacquiao Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 I can guarantee there are people in Brazil who will have heard of Sachin but would they have heard of Amar Ukmal ? :hysterical:
yoda Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 I can guarantee there are people in Brazil who will have heard of Sachin Doubt it. In countries where the sport isn't telecast or played, there is no reason to believe people would have heard. Even in the US, you have to go out of your way to get cricket news or watch it live on TV. ofc I am not talking about people who may be visiting from cricket playing countries.
