Graeme Swann- Best spinner in World cricket in all formats ? He seems more than set to take over the position from the likes of Warne and Murali as the best spinner in world cricket in all formats. I am a big fan of this chap now. There is no spinner anywhere close to him currently.

well spinner is the right word here, most certainly he is the best spinner in the world becoz he is trying to spin the ball and other spinners in the world only try to dart the ball in ,only looking to restrict runs.but in this asia cup it was good to see bhajji also giving ball some loop instead of just firing it in

Harbhajan will be back to his old 'dart' habit soon. He flights the ball depending on his confidence. On a side note-Murali Kartik and Powar are the only 2 indian spinners I know of who give the ball some air all the time like a classical spinner = Swann (although Swann is in a class of his own), Too bad Swann is already 31, maybe 4-5 more years of international cricket. I don't rate Harbhajan much as a spinner...but as a batsman..:hatsoff:

I like Shakib Al Hassan too. He bowled a beauty to Bell in the 2nd test vs England that was reminscent of Warne's ball of the century.

If we consider last 12-18 months,Swann is definitely ahead.Harbhajan is not very consistent in tests.Even SA who usually struggle against spin played him well in the 1st test.Swann is more penetrative. I agree with The One to some extent Lol.Harbhajan should make the ball talk & stop behaving like an imbecile.

this is strictly a post about test cricket.right now Swann is as important to their teams success as Bhajji is for us.If both bowl well then England and India win most of the times. If Bhajii is on song then he runs through the side,i have yet to see that from Swann. What swann has done is be a very consistent performer for his team, bhajji has had a lot of "off" matches in recent times.i have a feeling though that he will come through for us in the lankan tests.

superb bowling,he adds so much to the england attack, hes so attacking, flights the ball and unlike 99percent of other spinners he actually gets the ball to drift then spin,i think swanns the best spin bowler in the world for a while now,im a big fan of bhajji, but hes not in the same class as swaan, bhajji is more effective if the opposing team are under pressure, whereas swaan will take wickets whatever the state of play or conditions!

Classical offspinner...a treat to watch...I reckon he will be a handfull for the Aussies in the upcoming Ashes - potentially could hasten the retirement of a certain out of form Aussie :punter:
