Bedi's reaction while responding to Murali's barbs gave it all. The man is itching to hit out against Murali. For years he kept on riling Murali and one comment by Murali seems to have set his pants on fire. If you cannot digest comments from others, why keep blabbering about others? I wouldn't be surprised if Bhajji joins this battle as well. He too has been called names by Bedi.

The 15 degrees that is being claimed for everyone else was measured during a certain tournament (2004 ICC Champions trophy in England, iirc) with the help of several cameras. This figure was often quoted to defend Murali and to adjust the rules. Murali did not play in this competition, so we don't know his figures alone. If it possible to make the measurement under match conditions, it would seem a very obvious thing to do it for Murali too some other time. But for some reason - monetary, pressure on ICC or whatever - this was never done. If it was done and Murali came no worse than the rest, it would have shut up several people like me.
The primary reason was the fact that a ICC study found 99% of the bowlers having suspect actions if put to scrutiny (especially fast bowlers like Mcgrath, Pollock, Donald etc who all seem to have a perfect action to the naked eye, but were flexing their arms by 11-12 degrees at the time of delivery). Hi Guys.. I need to know the break up stats of his wickets in each country. I tried to find in Statsguru but not getting the desired stat. This stat will give me fair idea of which country was his favorite hunding ground. I've inkling that he has amassed his most wickets in Srilanka..

Thanks CR..That's massive.. Almost 500 wickets in 'home conditions'!! It would be interesting to compare the bowling averages at home and abroad.. Hmmmmmmm.........

Thanks Clarke. I got it. So he has played 65% of matches in his career in favorable home conditions and got whopping 45 '5 fers'.. He has excellent average against Bangers..followed by against Zimboks and Windians..Then Kiwis, English and Springboks were other major contributors..

I don't think Zimbabwe & Bangladesh were Test playing nation during Bedi's time. And West Indies batting went downwards during Murali's time..But I'm not comparing Bedi with Murali. I'll rather compare Murali with Warne..

You cant blame Murali for taking wickets at home and against Zim and Bang when the "big" nations dont want them to tour their countries.

Agree with Murali that Bedi is a controversy Monger, but can't accept that he was an ordinary. Never seen Bedi bowl, but from what I have read he was easily better than Prasanna and Venkat. Murali is simply hitting back after putting up with all non sense spewed by Bedi. Can't blame him, but it is impossible for Murali to stoop down to Bedi's level, no matter how hard he tries.

All the people who are harping on Murali taking so many wickets home realize that most players play about 50% of the games at home? Kinda like how idiots harp on Sachin's only X 100 outside India when he fking plays half his tests in India. Murali has played 73 tests out of 133 at home. Speaking of warne, i wonder what his figures would have been if he didnt play against his bunnies England so much.

Yep Defintly a legend who got banned for taking drugs. why is it that when Murali vs Warne deabte comes up , no one ever forgets to bring in Murali's unusual action but never mention that Shane Warne took performance enhancing drugs.

This was what I was talking about. This was based on studies done during the 2004 Champions Trophy. Murali missed it. So we have the figures from match conditions from pretty much everyone, except Murali.
