IKnowU Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 It's only a ODI' date=' get over it. No one's going to die if you lose a game as long as there was effort.[/quote'] I wrecken. As bad as the performance was, it can be considered as an anomaly. It was pretty obvious half the batsmen gifting their wickets and bowlers loosing it after first 20 overs was gonna end up as a loss. To win any match you need to do good with both bat and ball. People need to get over themselves who think batting will take care of it self regardless how the bowlers bowl.
saneindian Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Stumping chance missed by Dhoni and the drop catch by Raina proved to be the difference. had we taken those chances, NZ could well have been limited to 150-160.
sudheer kumar Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Is Tuffey become Kiwis McGrath? Tuffey.... Pace is average...swing is not high... Just bowling on middle and off stump and swinging the ball both sides. It is similar to McGrath's bowling. Will he is now kiwis McGrath? Is correct to compare Tuffey with McGrath? But I look some similar qualities in both..That is the reason to compare them.

Our bowling and Fielding comes off once in a blue moon.
Roshanrocks Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 McGrath is a ELITE level bowler who appears once in a generation, stop comparing tom dick n tuffey wid him :headshake:
Tendulkar_Bhai Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 In ODI's im not sure what the stats are but we also bat better batting first, maybe due to less pressure. Didnt get a chance to see the game but its what i expected, these kinds of conditions always trouble our batsmen, but Dhoni saying "the bowlers did well" im worried about as 288 was obviously 88 runs too much and fact that Dhoni doesnt realise bowling Nehra + Jadega is not going to get us anywhere. Also why isnt Vijay, Kohli etc opening instead of Karthik?? Losing faith in his captaincy and ability to pick good players.
King Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 McGrath and Tuffey..... please no. Enough of comparing every tom dick and harry to McGrath. No one has the kind of control McGrath had.
renjith12 Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I think, NZ will perform good in this tri-series
SJS50 Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Dhoni: I'm very disappointed That makes it one point one five billion and one . . .
SachinTheGr8st Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 How can India qualify for the final despite yesterday,s defeat ?
sudheer kumar Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I too need to change my thought. I compared them because they are tall bowlers and control their bowling speeds always. They generate some bounce on any kind of wicket. That is the only comparison between them.
Cricketics Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Line up for game against Lanka It's about time we play Virat Kohli in the match against Lanka. Averaging 45 is no joke. He should be played over Karthik or Sharma. My line up Sehwag Kohli Raina Yuvraj Karthik/Sharma Dhoni Jadeja Kumar Mithun Ojha Nehra I hope we follow this batting order too. Raina at no. 3 with Yuvi coming 2nd down.
Lord Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Karthik deserves.got a wrong decision.did well in Asia Cup final too my line-up Sehwag KKD Kohli Yuvi Raina MSD Ashwin PK Mithun Nehra Ojha

Is Kohli a genuine opener or is it another case of getting a player to open coz you need to fit him into the team? I would definitely play Karthik and also make him keep wickets. Dhoni doesnt need to keep wickets in these Mickey Mouse tournaments when you have another genuine wicket keeper playing in the team.
Gunner_Mania Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 same line up from me but if ishant is fit ' date='he should play[/quote'] He isn't, thats why they have shipped Munna Bhai to Srilanka.
Cricketics Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Kohli's first series was as an opener and that too in Sri Lanka only when he came in for Tendulkar who rested in the series. He was our best batsman in the series after Sehwag.
