People need to get over themselves who think batting will take care of it self regardless how the bowlers bowl.

Is Tuffey become Kiwis McGrath? Tuffey.... Pace is average...swing is not high... Just bowling on middle and off stump and swinging the ball both sides. It is similar to McGrath's bowling. Agreed, thats why we are not a quality ODI side. Our bowling and Fielding comes off once in a blue moon.

In ODI's im not sure what the stats are but we also bat better batting first, maybe due to less pressure. Didnt get a chance to see the game but its what i expected, these kinds of conditions always trouble our batsmen, but Dhoni saying "the bowlers did well" im worried about as 288 was obviously 88 runs too much and fact that Dhoni doesnt realise bowling Nehra + Jadega is not going to get us anywhere. Also why isnt Vijay, Kohli etc opening instead of Karthik?? Losing faith in his captaincy and ability to pick good players.

I too need to change my thought. I compared them because they are tall bowlers and control their bowling speeds always. They generate some bounce on any kind of wicket. That is the only comparison between them.

Is Kohli a genuine opener or is it another case of getting a player to open coz you need to fit him into the team? I would definitely play Karthik and also make him keep wickets. Dhoni doesnt need to keep wickets in these Mickey Mouse tournaments when you have another genuine wicket keeper playing in the team.

Kohli's first series was as an opener and that too in Sri Lanka only when he came in for Tendulkar who rested in the series. He was our best batsman in the series after Sehwag.
