someone Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 after his verbal attack on the former indian great? i never had any respect for him but after this the guy turned into a complete classless dolt. his action was dodgy anyways. discuss... Yes because after bedi verbal attack #1232473905 on the world's great spinner. Bedi has lost all the respect. Thanks
Tendulkar_Bhai Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Its Bedi iv lost all respect for not Murali, some of the stuff hes said Murali did well to keep queit for so long.
Sooda Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 He attacked Bedi? This is in response to Bedis umpteenth criticism of his action right, as Someone, points out. Bedi has turned into a bitter, senile old dolt in his old age. He deserves nothing less.
vamos_rafa Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 ^ Agreed. Bedi sir has been criticising Muraili since time immemorial. Although some of the comments that Murali has come up with do seem ordinary/childish but he said them gracefully and after retirement.
SJS50 Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 As I wrote elsewhere when asked whether one was with "Murali or Bedi" . . . This does not have to be an either or issue. Its possible to disagree with both Bedi and find Murali's calling Bedi's bowling ordinary equally un-called for. Bedi's comments on Murali's action over the years have been well known and these and many other controversial things the formewr India captain makes it a habit of mouthing do not have anything to do with his skills as a bowler where he stood amongst the finest of his type in the history of the game. This is like finding Gavaskar's many obnoxious remarks reason enough to call him an ordinary batsman. God knows Bedi has said enough to upset anyone and Murali is not easily upset but he would have been better advised to ask Bedi to shut up when the matter has been debated, investigated and decided by those with far greater competence and authority than Bishen has over these matters. "Mr Bishen Singh Bedi was undoubtedly one of the games finest exponents of left arm spin but that does not make him an authority on every subject related to the game particularly technical ones such as this which has been thoroughly investigated by competent authorities and judgement has been pronounced. Mr Bedi has been making such remarks about my bowling throughout my career and I have never responded to them. My response has been on the cricket field and the judgement on my action has been pronounced by the competent authorities in the game. By commenting further on what Mr Bedi has still to say on the subject I do not wish to give his remarks more importance than they deserve, which in my humble opinion is not very much to start with." Something on these lines would have been appropriate and fitting and enhanced Murali's status while putting Bedi in his place. By calling him an ordinary bowler Murali has just provided grist to the mill for that particular statement will never stand before anyone and unnecessarily undermines Murali's fantastic response to adversity throughout his fantastic career. Enough said. :-)
achilles Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Bedi saab has lost people's respect. Not Murali. Any man with an iota of self-respect won't take a ZILLION attacks on himself lying down. Bedi saab has no supporters on this one and justifiably so. There was no need to bring national pride and "he insulted an Indian legend" and blah blah from his friends, when you yourself donno where to draw the line.
SJS50 Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Bedi has been diagnosed to be suffering from a chronic case of severe foot 'n mouth disease . . . .
King Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Bedi has foot in the mouth disease. Several players in their auto biography has written he is close to senile and expects everyone to employ his action. If it doesn't look like his action then there's a problem. Vettori in his recent book mentions he is petrified of Bedi and Bedi is known to gate crash training sessions when teams from overseas are in India. I'd say Murali should sue him and Bedi should know better you can't go around saying everyone's at fault.
putrevus Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 I still think that bedi along with Venkat were overrated among the spin quartet, both had long careers more due to paucity of talent at that time and politics rather than their performances.
nballa Posted August 13, 2010 Author Posted August 13, 2010 i see all tamilians have come out in drones to support murali. geez grow up. he is not indian. regional pride will not get you anywhere.

someone Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 i see all tamilians have come out in drones to support murali. geez grow up. he is not indian. regional pride will not get you anywhere. what a stupid comment and reason. Just because he does not play for India makes him bad and deserves no respect for us. Please go on and support our national pride with the likes of Bedi and Mr.Kalmadi.
Holysmoke Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 I respect murali much more than I respect Bedi.
yoda Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 i see all tamilians have come out in drones to support murali. geez grow up. he is not indian. regional pride will not get you anywhere. no need to look beyond yourself when talking national pride (assuming you aren't a p@ki that is) :giggle:
THX_1138 Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 i see all tamilians have come out in drones to support murali. geez grow up. he is not indian. regional pride will not get you anywhere. i m not tamilian, not even south india, not even south asian. so take your stupid statements and shove them in your glory hole. bedi is a stupid busybody who is given too much attention.
