Fontaine Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Absolutely no need to upset upon their performance. They are just back players. But one of them may be at no.7 Yes one of them may come into the side during the world cup. So that's why IT'S GREAT that we tried 3/4 guys and one of them has played like a champ in Raina. Any side that tries to work out new players can't expect all of them to succeed. We got one guy out of our youngsters that is making big transitions in Raina and he'll make the WC final 11. An all rounder would be nice to have but I still have hopes for Pathan.
Manny_Pacquiao Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 what a bunch of morons you people are. rohit got a shocking decision. definitely not out. karthik isnt a bad player, remember he was top scorer in the asia cup final. plus he is just a backup. you are going to replace a backup with another backup? and jadeja, who i am no fan of, keeps bowling well.
Andy Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 How many times will this be mentioned on this forum Uthappa is not match-fit He'll be ready in time for CL I know . But he needs to be given chance in next few series. I wish this is the last series Nohit Played.
achilles Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 I know . But he needs to be given chance in next few series. I wish this is the last series Nohit Played. He is going to score a 50 or 100 in the next game and save himself the axe, as is Jaddu with the bat (maybe a 50) and 3-4for with a ball.
The Outsider Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Amazing. The team is about to win with a bonus point with half of a first choice squad and the whiners are out in the droves.
Zap_Brannigan Posted August 16, 2010 Author Posted August 16, 2010 Amazing. The team is about to win with a bonus point with half of a first choice squad and the whiners are out in the droves. cos the whiners are complaining about Sehwag, Raina and Dhoni, rt?
Manny_Pacquiao Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 cos the whiners are complaining about Sehwag' date=' Raina and Dhoni, rt?[/quote'] why dont you? might as well. let me help u out... sehwag is getting his first fifty in 11 innings. what a loser. raina threw his wicket away today. what a loser. dhoni is just a loser who favours other losers like karthik, sharma, jadeja and all those lame trundlers we have. he also doesnt score phaaaaasht enough like he used to. lets just drop the whole team.
Brainfade Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Amazing. The team is about to win with a bonus point with half of a first choice squad and the whiners are out in the droves. Sehwag's brilliance :hatsoff::hatsoff::hatsoff: can cover up, but not eliminate, other obvious weaknesses. Folks are just pointing out these other weaknesses. The team is investing heavily in Jadeja and possibly Kohli/Sharma, and it is worrisome that these players are not grabbing these opportunities to impress.
Sooda Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Jadeja gets a lot of unfair stick I think, he's usually a very economical bowler and picks up a useful wicket or two- as he did today- cant ask for anything more from a 5th bowler. His batting does need work and he is certainly not a no 7, but more than handy with the ball in ODIs.
Guest Hiten. Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 I seriously don't understand what more are we looking from Jaddu ? I mean he chips in pretty petty overs in the middle and has the ability of scoring 20-30 runs coming at #7. If you're looking for more than this, then you're the one to be blamed for because tbh, India does not have a consistent bowling all rounder or batting all rounder. IKP can be given a chance but selectors/captain/coach are reluctant to give him a second lifeline, so till then Jadeja is our best bet at this position.
cowboysfan Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 uthappa should be ready for the new zealand series,it is also certain that cheeka will completely ignore him.he will never be in the cards as long as Srikanth is the chief selector.
kabira Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Karthik is wasted as an opener. He is brilliant MO batter, milking singles and innovative shots. He is not cut out for opener.

IKP can be given a chance but selectors/captain/coach are reluctant to give him a second lifeline, so till then Jadeja is our best bet at this position. He actually averages 34.3 (helped by 5 not-outs) in 20 innings, but what seems to be missing is a "memorable" knock or spell when it really counted. Had he demonstrated that he can bail his team out of tight spots - a few big hits to close out a match, a 50-odd in 30-odd balls, a solid partnership to anchor the team ...
kabira Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 ^he is still newbie. just 20 innings. The guy is not number 7 batsman really.
Sooda Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 What we need is Yousuf Pathans sloggability (though he admittedly is not a great bat) with Jadejas miserliness with the ball rolled into one player
Tendulkar_Bhai Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 We dont need to. We already have Sachin, Sehwag, Raina, Ghambir, Yuvi and Dhoni. All we need is 1 allrounder and 1 back up batsman for the WC. What is the use of always trying karthik when he has showed that he is useless with the bat. And as i type Nohit gets a duck Your typing what iv been saying the last 2 days, BUT i dont want India to lose every match, just Jadega and DK to fail so others like Kohli, Tiwary and Irfan can get chances.
Texy Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 I can guarantee any player who attended MSD's wedding will not be sacked no matter what.
achilles Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 uthappa should be ready for the new zealand series' date='it is also certain that cheeka will completely ignore him.he will never be in the cards as long as Srikanth is the chief selector.[/quote'] Robin's just started batting again after recovering from his injury. I doubt he's match fit. Also, Kris seems to have his issues with Robin. So even if he were fit, we all know what would have happened. I can guarantee any player who attended MSD's wedding will not be sacked no matter what. Tex dada
