once in late 80's or early 90's, when india lost a test series in NZ under Azhar's captaincy, from a good position, Bedi said," this team deserves to be thrown in the pacific ocean"!!! the team was not amused, because our good old Bedi ji was the Manager/Coach of the team!
:hysterical::hysterical:Did that really happen:hysterical::hysterical:Legendary stuff:hysterical::hysterical: He is our Boycott in bluntness:hysterical::hysterical: Love him or hate him, just can't ignore him:--D Love to know what he thinks should happen to sanga? Especially as murali has come out saying sanga could never do such an unsporting thing blah blah? Come on Bedi any thoughts on Sanga?:--D

Provocative media at its best and they've got the best person in Mr.Bedi to add fuel to fire. I mean..the bowler has apologized, the board has apologized ;the matter should end there. The media is asking why isin't the BCCI doing anything about it ? Ridiculous ! Put the lid on it and move on. But what the entire episode has done is, it has set up the series nicely with sparks flying around. Can't wait for the next Sl-Ind match..

"Almost 20 years after he made the infamous 'throw them in the Pacific' comment, Bishan Singh Bedi continues to be the angry man of Indian cricket. //High standards, there // Bishan Bedi takes Dhoni & co to task after series loss .....Yesterday, the former captain and cricket manager, who made the above comment when Mohammed Azharuddin's team lost a match in New Zealand on the 1989-90 tour, was livid at India's series loss to Australia even before the battle ends at the DY Patil Stadium on Wednesday." http://www.mid-day.com/sports/2009/nov/091109-Bishan-Singh-Bedi-Mahendra-Singh-Dhoni-Australia.htm -------------------- Bedi speaks hiis mind...at times a lot loudly. he said once that-he will just not call a spade a spade, he will call it a shovel...

I think this is now gping OTT. Spirit of the game was dishonoured, hasn't happened for the first time, neither will this end here. End of the day it did not have an impact on the game or there was no attempt to harm any of the players. We should give it a rest rather than letting it ramble on. Time for the BCCI to step in and say the matter is closed. better still someone from the Indian camp should come out and say the issue is behind us now. Let's move ahead.

This is what the Indian manager, Ranjib Biswal, said this morning:
"If you go by the rules, it's very much lawful. There is no violation of cricket rules. But when it comes to spirit of cricket and gamesmanship, one feels slighted about these things. Since they have expressed their regret and apologised for their action, we should put an end to this episode."
It was case closed as far as the Indian camp is concerned. Now what SLC or the Indian media do is not the Indian camp's concern.

It's not particularly nice of the captain to deflect responsibility onto the bowler in this case and circumstance. Poor show from Sanga. I guess it was obviously his instruction though
