Following is the briefing by Gambit while we were touching 8000 member mark Let me give you an idea of how big we've become. This board was launched on 23rd Oct 2006. We hit the 1000 members mark on 27th June 2007. That's 1000 members in 9 months. We hit the 2000 members mark on 16th September 2007. Thats an additional 1000 in 2 and 1/2 months. We hit the 3000 members mark on 16th November 2007. Another 1000 in 2 months. We hit the 4000 members mark on 22nd Feb 2008. Another 1000 in 3 months. We hit the 5000 member mark on 17th June 2008. Another 1000 in 3 and half months. We hit the 6000 member mark on 9th February 2009. Another 1000 in 8 months. We hit the 7000 member mark on 1st June 2009. Last 1000 coming in 3 and a half months. Hit the 8k mark on 15th November 2009. Took 5 and a half months. Hit the 9k mark on 26th March 2010. Coming in 4 and a half months. Now just 35 more members required to reach the magical figure of 10000! Hopefully we'll reach there before the end of this month. i.e another 1000 more added in five months! An year ago realistic target looked like having 10000 members just before the world cup and it is still six months away! ICF proved admins wrong Consistent, rapid growth.
